Roboturner913
Smart move to keep Butler and keep that CB group together. Best unit on the team, IMO.

Superman
you dont draft someone in the first round to be 4th on your depth chartI don't think that's how it works.
CR91
Very debatable. When you draft him you don't have the intention of having him 4th on the depth chart, that's what your given and then he progresses to the pro level. If Peters progresses properly he could be a #1 CB in this league, and if in our system a great #2 across from Vontae. So really you're not getting a 4th stringer.. You're getting a prospect to develop who may play well enough in training camp/OTA's to pass Toler/Butler on the depth chart. so you rather we go CB in the first round in the off chance he takes playing time away from toler or butler instead of a starter on the D-line, safety, or RB

Coltswarriors
Terms: Colts CB Darius Butler got a 2-year, $5 million deal -- $1M to sign, $1.5M base this year, $2.5M base next year.
Superman
thats basically what would happen with davis toler and butlerCB is a position where you can move guys in and out of the game based on situation matchups and whatnot, especially if you're trying to develop a young guy. But more importantly, I think the team is going to draft the best players they can, Peters or not.

21isSuperman
I like this move. He had an underwhelming year this past year, but he was really good in 2013. He's a dependable player

Superman
we dont move around our CBs thoughWe do. And we certainly sub our nickel and dime guys. Gordy and Purifoy combined for over 300 snaps last year. And there's always potential for injury.

akcolt
Because bringing back Butler lessens our chances at drafting him.Unfortunately I think you are right we look at CB later in the draft. You draft BPA but if it is between 2 guys one has the chance to see the field immediately you go with that guy

wig
you dont draft someone in the first round to be 4th on your depth chart You also don't expect every contract you sign to necessarily start, you bring in competition.
