Boy was he awful today. He hasn't played well most of the season but man, he couldn't block an 80 year old grandma out there today.

Hope he fixes his game.

When your team gets 51 points dropped on them....... It's really pointless to call any ONE player out (Expect Hakeem Nicks cause he AHS to go)

Majority of the team was awful today. The opening drive was a thing of beauty aside from not getting the TD. After that the whole team went downhill aside from a few

He was a big reason why Luck was hit a million times today. He deserves to be called out.

Mhmm..... Just find it funny how it took for someone to drop 51 on the :colts: to have Gosder called out after this forum has spent the past 5 weeks praising the offensive line except for Harrison's bad snaps

Now all of a sudden the offensive line has a weak link

That's funny to me

I thought considering how the Steelers defenders got into the backfield on seemingly every single play, that Luck did a hell of a job throwing for 400 yards. Gosder has been playing worse this season than last, and he struggled today. I thought he played decent against Denver but yes, he needs to step it up.

You cant put it all on nicks.. andrew threw many high over thrown balls his way.. at the end of the day no one should be taking on blame besides the defense.. they were awful.. doesnt matter how good your offense is or hakeem nicks is playing when your d gives up 51 points.

Seriously,  when you write stuff like this it just gets embarrassing.....   for you.

We didn't lose today because of Hakeen Nicks.     He may not be getting the job done,  but we had tons of other problems today FAR WORSE than Hakeen Nicks.

Sometimes you just really need to stop writing stuff like that.....    you're not helping your own cause.....

Gosdar got abused badly.

But the whole line was awful.....    just dreadful....

Made for an incredibly long game for Luck.

They were pretty bad but have to say the left side of line looked better than the right

After a good year 1, I really thought we'd get a steady 3 years out of the RT spot.....alas, that does not look to be the case.  If the current trend continues, they are going to have to look at Nixon/Reitz this year, as the gate is swinging pretty freely right now.

It is, no doubt a physical issue with Cherilus.  He is a hard worker, good teammate and good leader....but those things don't keep you on the field by themselves.

Gosder Cherilus signed a 5 year / $35 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts, including a $10,000,000 signing bonus, $15,500,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $7,000,000.

Looks like we are stuck with him for a few more years.

1959 is correct in his contract details.  Looking at it a little more closely, next season the "dead money" and the cap hit are virtually the same (6,000,000/ 6,900,000) so it makes no sense to cut him.  In 2016, the Colts can  save 6M by cutting him, which I think will happen if he doesn't improve.  The problem is that this year he has been dismal.  I agree with those who point the finger at Cherilus for much of Luck's problems on Sunday.  His failure this year is puzzling as he has always been a pretty good pass blocker, but a bad run blocker.  Is he injured?  He only 30 years old so it shouldn't be age.  Is he out of shape?  For whatever reason, I think he has been poor enough that he should be replaced right now.  The question is how.  During the draft, many speculated that Jack Mewhort was drafted as a future right tackle, but that seems like a project for next year.  On the hand, we have better options at left guard than right tackle.  Reitz has done OK in relief and works well with Costanzo.  Maybe Khaled Holmes can play left guard. Maybe they can give Xavier Nixon a chance at right tackle.
