TKnight24
@bradgassfox10: #Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano at ASU Pro Day. http://t.co/SJeB3BR0kD@HolderStephen: Agree with all those who responded to my Pagano tweet. Would presume he made trip to Az St to see DT Will Sutton. http://t.co/K5cJlpxRKP@Cardschatter: #Colts HC Chuck Pagano among the NFL personnel out here for today's @FootballASU pro day. BrentMc11
Arizona State was strong TK. Not sure I want Sutton in round 2....too small IMO....would have to be a specialist. If it was only Chuck though...(Who Knows?) he was probably looking at defense. I think they have a couple of mid-late round OL.... Edit...what the heck: my eyes are fried today...is the guy 267 pounds or 303? Edited March 7, 2014 by BrentMc11
RealityIsLuck
First round prospect, but stayed in school. Now looking more like a 2-3rd round player.

BOTT
I don't know why he would assume it's for Sutton. Couple other prospects the Colts could be looking at.

SteelCityColt
I haven't got the means to link to hand so apologies and I'm sure it was B/R report written by a former NFL scout so take with a pinch of salt but it said how often attending Pro days etc. was just part of the off season smoke screen. They might not be there to necessarily watch a player but to build the idea they are interested in taking a guy to see if they can make other teams "jump" in the draft. I don't fully believe that, just wondered what others thought?

I don't fully believe that, just wondered what others thought? I think that's nonsense. I don't think a coach would go to a pro day as a smokescreen. Going doesn't mean that we're going to draft one of the players participating; the coach might not like what he sees at the pro day, or we might not get the chance to make the pick. But I think anyone who says that Pagano is at ASU as some kind of weird attempt to influence other teams' draft boards is over thinking a very simple issue. Darby will probably get drafted, but I'd like to have him either way. Bradford is a DE/OLB. I think he could play Rush/Sam backer for us.

NewColtsFan
Darby as a UFA IMO...or 7th. (SS or FS) Bradford....One big tough fullback.....UFA? Bradford is an outside linebacker.... I think a pretty decent prospect. If I had to guess, it's Bradford or Darby Pagano is looking at, as well as Sutton. Sutton is a 4-3 DT. I don't see him as a fit at all for our 3-4. Just don't see it.

I don't doubt that anything in that article actually happens. Pagano might talk up Will Sutton to agents and reporters at ASU's pro day, but really be there looking at Bradford and Darby. But going there only to throw other teams off the scent seems like too much of a stretch. To be honest, if I were a coach or a GM, I'd be more interested in the pro days for smaller schools, where I could get a closer look at some guys that didn't get Combine invites, etc. Darby falls in that category. I haven't watched any of Marion Grice, Osahon Irabor or Chris Young, but they qualify also.
Superman
i would be happy with getting Alden Darby in the late rounds good project player I started off watching Bradford, and Darby was jumping off the screen at me, injecting himself into a lot of the action. So I went to watch his tape, and while he's going to be limited at first as a safety, especially if you want him to patrol the deep third, he would be incredible on special teams. He's awesome as a punt gunner.
