The Indianapolis Colts today elevated outside linebacker Daniel Adongo and tackle Xavier Nixon from the practice squad to the active roster and agreed to terms with fullback Robert Hughes and defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton, who will be signed to the practice squad. The team also placed inside linebacker Mario Harvey and running back Daniel "Boom" Herron on Injured Reserve.

WOW didn't think Andongo was gonna be active this year. Well with all these injuries at least a lot of our players that need more playing time are going to get it.

We are such a fragile team this year more than I've ever seen. I predicted us having many injury problems due to our aging players and those who were known to be injury prone already. I think I predicted us going 8-8 or 9-7 before the season started. Good chance we can have more wins than that but who knows.

Um aren't most of our people on IR more towards the young end? So you were right but not who you thought would be the issues.

@CraigKColts: Daniel Adongo will add excitement across the globe with roster addition. He and Josh McNary have come long way to NFL.

@CraigKColts: Where Caesar Rayford captured some early attention from fans, D. Adongo has captured roster spot. Looking forward to see what he can do.

Is Mcnary an ILB or an OLB or do the Colts think he can play both? Just curious because on the Colts roster they just have him as LB and not ILB or OLB.

Honestly don't know. I guess he can play both. If someone watched the game, he got some burn but I don't know where he got the pt at. OLB or ILB

He started out as an OLB because I believe he was a DE at Army.  I believe he set the season sack record there.  However at some point through training camp they moved him to ILB.  Presumably he'd be able to play both but at the time we had better depth at OLB than ILB.

from wiki:

McNary finished his career as Army’s all-time leader in sacks (28.0) and tackles for loss (49), while adding 195 tackles (117 solo), nine passes defensed, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He is the only player in school history to record two double-digit sack seasons and also held school records for the most sacks in a single game (4.0) and a single season (12.5).

I want to see him throw someone around like he was still playing Rugby.

haha we'll have to see if he's activated first on gameday. Maybe he'll knock someone's head off on special teams

Even the Colts Twitter page is excited haha

@Colts: It's been a long road, but Daniel Adongo has worked his way on to the #Colts Active Roster... #CINvsIND http://t.co/5PyzenHxaO

Found it!! He played & made his NFL debut Sunday vs the Titans at ILB

@KBowenColts: That's Josh McNary in his NFL debut with the quarterback hurry on 3rd-and-8. McNary was in the game for a banged up Jerrell Freeman

Everyone loves an underdog, especially when he's a physical freak of nature.

Well you missed part where I said or the players who are known to be injury prone - Ahmad Bradshaw & Donald Thomas. Then the older players I was thinking - Reggie Wayne and Mathis (who hasn't shown any decline this season).

and now Adongo supplants Rogers as the forums favorite divine player.

Hey look, I'm pulling for the guy, but I very much doubt he sees any substantial playing time.  Probably won't play the next week or two, but even if he does, it'll probably only be special teams.  If he's lucky, he might see some time on the defense before the end of the seeason.  I'd be surprised if he played more than 10 plays in any one game.

    • I’m hoping we play the Vikings in October or November, so I can attend.
    • Both Flacco and Ehlinger are free agents.  Uncertain about the long list of upcoming QB FAs that we could target next season.  Remember AR is still very raw only played one full season much like Caleb Williams in college with very similar snap count and production.  I do see the Colts looking for potentially two backup replacements but also someone very early in Round 2 as a backup (with strong upside as a starter a must).  Jalen Milroe (Alabama) is my top front-runner and may see his draft stock rise to early Round 1, but right now if he is available to us in Round 2 then he becomes our next Flacco/Minshew.  Either Grayson McCall or KJ Jefferson could be potential draft replacements for Ehlinger.    Right now, can see us next year go Edge again in Round 1.  Both Ebukam and Lewis will be in their 30's and contracts up at the end of 2025.
    • I don't know. There's some potential late games. Lions, Steelers, Bills, Dolphins, Packers. Texans for sure
    • Agree, feels very late this year.    The NFL teams are preparing schedule release videos as we speak right now!
    • Simmons is someone the NFL and every referee unit continues to have their eye on during every play. The moment he does a big hit (he usually doesn't care about how and where he hits), the league is gonna serve him a 4 game ban. He would spend most of the year suspended, unless he plays by rules which he doesn't seem to want.    Do you think Ballard gets that type of player, with year long availability in question? There's a reason he's available in FA, not because he's waiting, but because only the teams that are okay with his style of play and its consequences will get him before the start of the season. Not sure Colts is that team.
