roof will be open.

Well when the game starts it will be in the low 50's and when it's over in the 40's so it will get quite cool in there. If it was an afternoon game I could see it being sunny and all but not as cool as it has been getting in Indiana at night. JMO :)

Colts' Facebook says it's open for the game. Roof and window. That's dumb. You lose so much noise that way.

IDK who ultimately makes that decision, but that's terrible.

Like I said in another thread;

It will still be loud enough to disrupt Manning, very much so.

Manning ALWAYS lobbied to have the roof closed. It will be windy tonight, 15-25 MPH winds .

Was thinking the same thing. Make him fight the wind. While the wind won't effect us pounding them with the run game. My guess at least.

you really think Jim just made a random tweet saying the roof will be open today?  O.o

they will not have it open for the game, just for the events leading up to it.  The parade, the ceremonial first pitch, the parachutist fly-in, the fireworks from the Bank One tower just before kickoff, the tribute, and Jim Neighbors and Florence Henderson doing a duet of Rocky-Top.  Then they will close the roof and window.

That's against the rules. Has to be either closed or open 90 minutes before kick and stay that way.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Oil_Stadium#Mechanized_retractable_roof

"The home team determines if roof is to be opened or closed 90 minutes before kickoff. The roof remains open unless precipitation or lightning is within the vicinity of the stadium, the temperature drops below 40 °F (4 °C), or wind gusts are greater than 40 miles per hour (64 km/h), in which case the roof operators will close the roof. Once the roof is closed, it may not be reopened.[3]"

Isn't there a waiver that says if the greatest player to ever play in the stadium comes in to play for another team that the above is null and void?

Hey if it's open it will be cold maybe Peyton will have a little trouble lol

im sure it gets much colder in denver where he plays out doors then it does in indy. and he didn't do to bad in the cold weather last year. roof being closed helps with the noise which would have been far much better considering Manning hates noise when he is on the field as he was spoiled by us in keeping quiet.

Peyton will be descending from the roof on a platform with backup dancers.  He will be dressed in red, white, and blue with a top hat of the same colors.

James Brown (actually, an impersonator) will be singing "Living in America" while Peyton dances and points at all the Colts and shouts "I want you!"

ummm no one has " pounded " them with the run game at all this year. they rank 1st in rush defense granted they go a way with it when they get down by 2 or 3 TD's but still. only McCoy and MJD have rushed for more then 50 yards on the bronco defense. now all those teams have thrown for 300+ yards. I say Luck has a 400 yard performance tonight. Richardson will get about 75 yards. colts win 37-34 with a AL 2 minute drive to set AV up for a game winning FG.

The roof needs to be closed

..why build a football stadium with a retractable roof and then leave it open when its 50 degrees??

Those who think football should played and watched in the cold still listen to 8-track tapes...

The counter to this is why build a stadium with a retractable roof if you never open it.

That crap don't matter. Remember how our run defense was good because teams always passed on us? Or other way around!
