LaRon Landry

We're only two games into the season, I know, but I've really liked what I've seen so far from Landry. 

 

He's aggressive and physical without being dirty and he's a much better tackler than I expected him to be. I thought he'd always be looking to lay the smackdown on someone and forfeit the tackle occasionally as a result but he seems to know when to wrap up and when to unload. 

 

He was all over the field against Oakland and he was a consistent presence again last night. Certainly one of the positives from two fairly disappointing games.

I'd agree with all you've said. However I think I might have to go back through the last 2 games on All 22 and see what he was like in coverage as that's meant to be his weakness. 

 

Saying that he doesn't seem to do a lot of dropping back ;)

He's a LOT faster than I ever thought he was. Good thing he is there to clean up a lot of messes. Excellent addition!

Agreed for the two big plays by Wallace (including the TD) he was rapid coming across the field and chasing down the TE after Bethea missed the pick. Good pick up, hope he can avoid out injury bug.

I like it when he came flying into the picture, taking out Miller (I believe) with his arms. All you saw was him flying through the air, arms extended straight, and he made the play.

Landry was the only who looked like he was giving 100%. Dungy used to call Sanders the eraser because he cleaned up other peoples mistakes. I don't know if anyone could cover up the mistakes we were making in that game but damnit you could tell Landry doing his best to try.

Yeah we did that but it wasn't consistent. But 5 sacks is progress. Means we're improving slowly but surely. Guess this team will have some more growing pains this year as well
