Sure, and a $74 million contract for Taylor is a lot of like for a guy who apparently isn't good enough in the passing game. This is going to sound just crazy, but Ballard may not be avoiding overpaying by sticking to resigning our own guys. 😜 -

Shane seems to be the younger, taller version of Frank so far. Neither played situational football and no matter where they are or were on the field, instead of punting and pinning them back, we go for it and never make it. Shane handed the Packers 3 pts yesterday by going for it on 4th and 4 at our 45....early in the 3rd qtr. Unreal. -

I was thinking about this during the game yesterday. What is the strength of the team at this point? I thought it was going to be the line play on both sides, but it hasn't looked that way. After two games, there's still plenty of hope for the offensive line, but I don't know what to think about the defensive line. I hoped wide receiver would become a strength this year and maybe it will be when Downs comes back, but they were terrible yesterday. I thought running back was a strength, but Taylor was benched and we had JAG in when the game was on the line. Here are the only positives I've seen from yesterday - the replacement cornerbacks were rated pretty well. https://sports.yahoo.com/pff-grades-colts-3-highest-173348520.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAD3FkPilKjNtHUjZxhAcyAIy0uiJuIJ4I9jHUEplQSqxmHCNgs3EZ4UvDWgTwh8-oXxjcqMyfUgga4y9cGcITUafohbn656DE2nd-kOaeiIwyyuvq3NkNU9Tpoe4zt_vP2szqzuiyHK1vyHFbQwGO8ntGDhNCgtdo_-hvM4pcCl3 It's hard to be too optimistic about the pass defense, though, after Malik Willis completes 12-of-14 (85.7%) passes. -
To me, Stroud was definitely the best QB in the draft, and even I wasn't interested in making that kind of trade to get the #1 pick. Right now, I'd say it would have been worth it, but we all know how this works. And people were more split on Stroud and Young than they want to acknowledge, with what we presently know. Even people whose opinions I have great respect for, and continue to respect, had Young ahead of Stroud. So it's not like he was considered a surefire, future franchise QB, across the board. It's also too early to be talking about Anthony Richardson as if he won't be good. He's one of the most raw prospects ever, and he's played six games in the NFL. I'm not calling him the next Josh Allen, but yeah, that's the pattern, and he had serious ups and downs for the better part of two years. Richardson is a multi-year project, and going on emotional highs and lows with him after every game probably isn't the best idea.
