I led the charge for Stroud. My saying was Give Me Stroud or Give Me Death!  I was good with AR too but Stroud was my #1.

To point out, Fangio as Broncos DC, did use to be one of the guys that limited Mahomes to a lot of FGs, there is that. But that is the new Chiefs' way, that started with the Bengals' game, that Chiefs fans are going to have to get used to, putting up points with 3 times as many FGs as TDs. The new Chiefs way is winning ugly.

Chiefs' D clogs lanes and doesn't give up much.

 

They have given up 24 points or less in all but 1 road game where the Packers played out of their mind for 27 points. If you can score 24 points on the Chiefs, you have a great chance but it is much more difficult to do so, easier to restrict them to less than 20 points and squeak past them.

I have Cowboys and Rams tomorrow. Actually have Rams making the SB this year. I think they can beat San Fran.

Rams have a hard time beating San Fran though they can. When they play in LA, at home, they have a huge invasion of 49ers fans from close to town making it seem like a home game for the 49ers. If the Rams play the 49ers, I have a good amount of confidence the 49ers prevail.

 

Even during their best years, the Rams struggle to beat the 49ers. Stafford is 1-8 vs 49ers in his career. The only win was the most important NFCCG when they barely squeaked past Jimmy G and the 49ers at home after going 0-2 in the regular season vs the 49ers in the division though they won the NFC West during their 2021 SB year. Hope you don't have money on that happening.

Stroud is so good. Haha being a Panthers fan must be the absolute worst right now, I feel for them. Young looks like a huge bust. Stroud looks like an absolute all star. What would have been the 1st overall pick for them belongs to the Bears in a draft class with two prospects touted as a couple of the best since Joe Burrow. To top it off you have an owner who is seemingly an complete *.

      I think it could be a very sticky situation in the future where players file suit against writers for defamation of character resulting in financial loss. If a report with anonymous sources isn't substantially backed by anyone when challenged, and it leads to a player that is projected by virtually everyone to go top 10 and they fall (even to just later 1st round), it could be considered a serious financial loss. That would be an interesting conversation to know if that is precedented or even possible... First amendment rights only go so far, and confidential sources can revealed forcibly through court, based on my understanding.

      I’m basically an optimist every year but I don’t see a weakness on this team (other than the secondary which I attribute to inexperience.  If the pass rush lives up to the hype, that should help the secondary.  Because the Oline and Dline could be elite and they travel well, and because they have improved their weapons, I like the Colts chances of winning the division and winning 11+.

      Love the addition of Latu. I wanted him and/or the corner who is blazing fast and a man corner (cannot remember his name). I never thought Ballard would pick either because of the injury history for Latu and the other not a zone corner. In reality, the D could be a lot better this year than last. However it may not be reflected in the stats because they play some very good qb's this year. Last year, the D faced horrible qb play and what is alarming is that they actually put up stats near the bottom.  That being said, I cannot see the D being worse than last year if that is comforting, lol??
