So, you can run the names and come up with The Chosen One, and we'll have all the GMs assigned.

Ok I’ll take a screenshot so everyone can see

Can I get a list of who all wants to be in on the Colts random draw?

Pretty much every GM in the game will want to throw their hat in the ring

I do. I'll take them. If it's ok with everyone, I'll take the Texans as a second team now that you got the Colts in the drawing.

@NFLfan is this ok?

Sure, go ahead.

I will update the full team and GM list accordingly.

@csmopar  thanks for running the randomizer, that's a cool way to decide on Colts GM, a novelty in our draft this year and we could continue doing this going forward.

So when we lighting this candlestick?

Let's start soon.

Is Wednesday 5th okay for everyone to start?

35 minutes ago, coltsfanej said:

Also, can we make trades before the candle is burning?

Yes, I'll create a new thread for 2023 NFL mock draft.

I'll have the rules mentioned, for trades only this year pick trades are allowed, as it has been done in the recent past. NO future draft capital or players involved in trades.

Leaning towards starting the draft on Monday, April 10th.

Because of the holidays coming weekend.

Draft took place last year from 7 pm to 10 pm EDT, with 10 minutes alloted for each pick.

We can start discussing trades in this thread and move on to the new draft thread once created.

If your team is shopping your draft pick, make sure to announce in the thread that your pick is available for trade, rather than simply using Private Messages. PMs are useful for further discussion, but making it transparent to everyone will ensure fairness to all GMs. Remember, Fairness to everyone is foremost in the draft process.

A trade has already almost happened for #3 overall draft pick, if any other GM wishes to discuss moving up to #3, please contact @danlhart87 so you have your chance before that trade is finalized.

I'm planning to have Draft Tracker with all picks and selections, along with the Big Board uploaded in Google Sheets and shared with all GMs. Spreadsheet will be updated and available online as the draft goes on, Drafted players will be marked as taken. All GMs will have Read-Only privileges and Commissioners can update the information required.

If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding dates or anything else, let's discuss.

Should we do two threads? One only for pick and trade  announcements and the other for all the discussions and reactions?

I think it's okay to have all reactions and chat going along in the same thread, it keeps the fun, and should encourage everyone including viewers who are not participating in the draft to engage and critic if they want (very few do usually, unlike game day and draft day threads :)). Having two threads  make it worse only for us to be switching around.

The biggest pain in the draft in past Years in this forum, IMHO, is having a Big Board list of 300+ players occupying a full page and us having to switch back to that page to see which players are taken, with the big board not always possible to get updated after every pick. If we take that out into spreadsheet shared and updated online instantly, we solve many problems at once. It would give a clean draft thread where most of the comments are picks made by GMs and comments from commissioners on next timelines.

I think this new setup, if it goes well, will make the draft really easier to maintain and to follow from the beginning till the end. Will make it more entertaining in the same thread to have everything going on, I believe.

Sounds good. I agree, with the big board not being there that should help quite a bit.
