Knighton to Oakland?

NFL Trade Rumors is saying he's close to an agreement with the "LOL Raiders" Have fun out there big guy. We have to get our stuff together now. We're the little quite guy standing around twiddling his thumbs, and not being heard, while all the good players are agreeing to sign with other teams. We need to get it together. I'm telling you, its time to start throwing some haymakers or we'll have to settle with what ever is left.

can we get rid of legal tampering it hurts my hopes

Legal tampering hasn't hurt you one bit.

It was going on before....   it was just being done on the down-low,  the Q-T.

The NFL simply brought it out into the open.    Nothing really changed,   the NFL is now allowing some coverage of what was always happening anyway......

We need to sweep in like a hawk and offer Pot Roast more money if this is true. We don't know if Ngata will be released or if Fairly wont go back to Detroit. We'll be starting Langford and Chapman on the D-Line next year and have a mediocre defense again that cant stop the run. And that gets laughed at by somebody like Jonas Grey.

Why do they even have a talking window? If they can talk about terms then just let them sign. I think this week period is the dumbest of them all.

I agree and there's lots of talk for the NFL to change it.

But the problem is this......

Whenever they set the date for talking/signing -- let's assume it's changed to the same date.....    the NFL is trying to find a way to stop the talks that go on with all teams and all agents PRIOR to that date.     And you know it's happening,  because in the past -- prior to the talk window,  deals were being announced minutes after the start of the window.

Now,  how could that happen unless they were talking BEFORE the window?    The NFL has been trying to do away with that and is struggling to figure it out.

@ProFootballTalk: NFL scolds teams for not following the letter of the "legal tampering windown" rules http://t.co/hjc8OGnHHq

“Clubs were advised of the rules for the three-day negotiating period in PP-23-15 (attached). These rules include limitations such as that a club cannot make an “offer;” or enter into a written or oral agreement of any kind, express or implied, or make promises or representations of any type concerning the terms or conditions of employment to be offered to any Unrestricted Free Agent for inclusion in a Player Contract after the start of the new League Year; or provide assurances of intent as to the future execution of an NFL Player Contract. Clubs were further advised that “Any attempt to undermine the purpose of this negotiating period may be considered conduct detrimental to the League.” At this time, the League office is beginning investigations into a number of reported agreements with clubs. Violations will be dealt with accordingly.”

Understood....

I was only telling the poster that little has changed due to this window being added...   that illegal shenanigans have always been going on...   and they're still going on...   we just know more about it is all.....   so it doesn't/hasn't impacted the poster...

So...with all the announced agreements, what will happen? What happens to teams that made offers but didn't make an agreement?

So what can they say it talk about then? Sounds life they can say hi and that's bout it. They can make an offer it even talk about terms in any way it seems by the way it's worded above.
