@KBowenColts: For guys like Adams, Cribbs, Jackson and Richardson this weekend is a little something more returning to Cleveland

Josh Cribbs

DQ Jackson

Trent Richardson

Mike Adams

Gonna be a great day for all of them (Hopefully for Richardson too)

I'm not sure what role R. Chudzinski will play as he's returning to. Does he even take the field when we play? I seriously have no idea what his role is with us

Mike Adams hasn't been in Cleveland for a while, it probably means nothing to him.  Cribbs has been gone a while too, and the Browns paid him well while he was there.

I'm hoping the Defensive Player of the Week has his best game.  And TRich already said he's looking forward to jumping into the Pound.  I'm looking forward to him going forward.

Good question about Chud, I'm not sure what he's doing for us either.

Chud is a coaching assistant to Pagano right? I'm guessing he helps in creating the gameplan for each game. But I could be wrong, just a guess. He's being paid to do something

Assistant Head Coach or Assistant to the Head Coach?

He's the Dwight Schrute of the Colts?

So some beat writer dweeb says the game means more for those players and that makes it so?

Jackson has already said he's taking it like any other game.

Richardson said he's going to play like it is his last game.

Which, hopefully it is in a Colts uniform.

The fact Jackson said it himself, makes it so. Time to take a long walk off a short pier.

One player says it so he along with yourself speaks for everyone? He couldn't possibly keeping his mouth shut to prevent bulletin board material....you know because he's a veteran and not a dummy. If you want to trade comebacks with me you're going to need to turn it up to 11 and quit posting with crayolas Moosie.

So Jackson tells the media it's going to be like any other game for him, then Bowen (who is the media) says it means more than just a game? If he was keeping his mouth shut, he wouldn't talk to a BEAT WRITER, you know, the media? The guys who post "bulletin board" material?

Time to stop posting with Daddy's lipstick if you want to trade comebacks, son.

He has to speak to the media (see Marshawn Lynch) and what he said was in fact nothing. He fulfilled a requirement set by the league, and at the same time didn't give the Brown's something to pin on the wall. There's a thing called body language, and most people can read someone by looking into their eyes. If the guy who interviewed players says it has more meaning than an ordinary Sunday, then he probably is on to something.

Your last sentence was neither funny nor thought provoking. You should probably take into account the possibility that someone's father could be deceased before you post an attempted insult to a parent. I'm guessing you are under 25 by the substance of your posts. If you are over 25 it's blatantly obvious that we aren't Intellectual Equals, so unfortunately our conversational relationship ends here.

Sorry I hurt your feelings. Maybe don't ask to "trade comebacks" with someone if you're going to be upset? I'll turn it back down to 10 for you.

Sorry.   Kevin Bowen is definitely NOT the media.    He works for the Colts.

He doesn't work for a newspaper, or TV or Radio station or an internet blog.    He writes stories for the Colts.

If you want to ask what the difference is,  I'm happy to tell you....

Media will write a critical story.     Kevin Bowen will not.    That's not his job.   He's never going to write a negative story.   Not a knock on him, he's a good guy,  it's just not his job.

The media's job is to cover the team with a critical eye.    Bowen's job is to present to the Colts in the best light possible.

Big, big difference.

I didn't say he was being critical, his words just don't match Jackson's.

I can assure you that he's media. "Beat Writers" who cover the sport professionally are media. When you read articles or listen to interviews you are consuming media.

Let's not split hairs.

That'd be hilarious/sad if nobody caught him.

Like the guy that stage dives into the crowd and everyone moves out of the way.

I think if he does jump into the pound, he's going to hear some things he may not like.

They'd welcome Boom though. he's a NE Ohio kid.

I seriously hope they do move out of the way. I know i would.

They guy is so annoying. Why doesnt he just shut up and play his position and earn fans. Contrary to what he believes, he has no fans in the stadium.

This is what I did for 30 years.

Bowen may deal with the media.    But he's not media.    He can be in media relations.    But he's not media.

There's no hair splitting here.

Look,  I've got no dog in this fight between you and Corgi.     You two can go at it all day long.

I only responded because you said Bowen was media.    And he's not.    Turning out approved stories for the Colts doesn't make him media.

Turning out approved stories?

Doesn't a beat writer actually write the articles?

What that means is that Bowen's stories are always going to be positive.    He's never, ever going to write a negative story about the Colts.

A member of the media can turn a critical eye on the Colts and say tough things about Grigson and Pagano and their decisions and TRich and how disappointing he is and on and on.     Kevin Bowen can't write that.

Again,  this is no knock on Bowen.    Good guy who does a good job.

But there's a big difference between media relations (which is what Bowen is)  and the media (which he's not)

Can't being to tell you how unimpressed I was with TRich whining that the Browns lost faith in him and let him go.

Hello?!?

If he didn't have a guaranteed contract he might've already suffered that same fate here.

I appreciate that he's being a good soldier, and mostly saying the right things as he's mostly done this week and all the weeks he's been with the Colts.    But he's got to be careful.

Because when you've had the short career he's had,  he can't go all public and whine and complain about teams cutting him loose.    No one is going to feel sorry for him......    period.

Me too.  He's been great when getting the ball in space for the most part.  I was kind of surprised they haven't gone back to that play with him.  I know he's the safety valve, but it goes for big yards.

Trent Richardson, Christ man just keep your mouth shut you're terrible. How many times does this guy feel the need to makes comments to the media. Remember his 1,000 yard season claim? Well through 10 games he's at 445. *So close*

Well, he just got booed by the home fans....fans that are know for being some of the nicest in the nfl. Can't get worse than that.

Chud should be fired up about this one too.  Cleveland gave him the boot before he could even finish his first year.  Boom Herron and Mewhort should be fired up to come back to Ohio to play.  Lots of Ohio stuff going on with this team this week!

I wrote/produced for CBS-TV in Los Angeles for more than 10 years.

I worked for Fox in LA for nearly 8 years.

I worked for NBC in LA for 4 years

I worked for CBS-Radio for 4 years.

And for various other outlets for a number of years....

I can only imagine they're waiting for the playoffs to unleash the offensive juggernaut?

(use the term "offensive" in any manner in which you wish)

Seriously, though, I can't think of another reason.  This isn't the first time this coaching

staff has had me scratching my head, and i suspect it won't be the last.

Hey, were you there when Keith Olbermann was...back in his pornstache days?

So you are Trent Richardson fanatic?

Lollygagger never said he was fantastic TS. He said that TR can block & run in open space. Lolly's argument is simple: Canter to what Richardson can actually do. That hardly makes him a leader of the Trent fan club & I happen to agree with him. Highlight his skill set or ways in which he can generate yardage on the field. That's what he's driving at.

I worked with Jim for many, many years.

And I worked with Keith for a very short while,  but I know him well.....

My condolences NCF. Keith is good at what he does & a sharp guy, but I have a feeling that he can become very temperamental very quickly.

By Olbermann's own admission, I don't "burn bridges so much as napalm the river." But, I do find him entertaining even though I have never met the man personally.

I wouldn't disagree with a word Keith said in your quote there.

Talented but troubled.
