Pags says they haven't decided anything yet....    but that not playing Mathis is under consideration.

 

Honestly,  from the read,  it feels like this is the leading possibility.

Good idea I think, I'd expect him to be ready when his suspension is over, Not necessary I don't think for him to put himself at risk of getting injured during games that don't count and getting hurt possibly only to be out longer potentially then the 4 game suspension.

Exactly,,,you can get a season-ending injury in an exhibition game...

I think everybody knows what Robert can do....Just let him coach until the 5th game..

Why would he?  He knows how to play the game.  Better for Werner and others who will be taking his place during the first four games.  Better to get them up to speed and fill in the gap better through experience until Mathis comes back.

i dont mind him sitting preseason out at all. id rather get Werner and Newsome as much reps as possible seing as they will be required to step up for the first 4 weeks.
