Defense.

Discipline.

Denver lacks both. Some of those penalties were brutal. After several plays early on the Broncos D were BEGGING for unsportsmanlike conduct penalties pushing and shoving trying to provoke SD players. When they finally left the field did I see Fox or Del Rio give them an earful? NO. That is horrible, horrible coaching.

Denver makes a play on first or second down, celebrates. Gets burned on third down.

Denver makes a once in a blue moon stop on third down. Special teams comes in and makes a stupid penalty.

Poor D + Stupid penalties = going nowhere in the playoffs.

Rivers had a hell of a game. SD outplayed and outcoached Denver in all three phases of the game plus outcoached them by a mile. This game was over at halftime. The final score does not reflect the curbstomping SD dished out.  SD dominated the time of possession with long, time consuming drives all night. Apart from when the defense made a whopping 1 quick stop. It would have been a whole TWO stops if the special teams didn't screw that up.

San Diego came to Win.   They managed the clock, and the Broncos had WAY too many senseless penalties.

Plenty of Blame to go around on the Broncos,  and a well deserved win for the Chargers.    The  Chargers still may not  make the playoffs, though.

Peyton now has thrown more interceptions than Brees.

Just sayin'

Lol reading your comments you'd think Peyton crushed your cupcake when you were 6.

He's one of the greatest QB to ever play not God.  He is going to have some off games... of course 7 passes dropped and a defense who couldn't stop a run if their life depended on it.  Also I'm assuming your a Saints fan...  so...

Drew Brees sure looks like % without his certain head coach...

just sayin'

Peyton Manning will be one & done again. Denver's defense couldn't stop a team of all of us forum members if their life depended on it.

Defense is filled with a bunch of knuckle heads who don't have any discipline

Only 3 player's are worth talking about on their defense

Von Miller

Travathean (spellcheck)

Rodgers-Cromartie

So now we need to hope for the impossible to happen and have the Pats lose a game.

Congrats on your #1 seed Patriots.

Well we got two teams fighting for a playoff spot in Mia and Balt, both teams play us tough regardless . . . so lets see how many chickens the pats get . . . .

And we can't forget your bills . . .  . . . its still a divisional game regardless of the record . . .

One game

For one game the offense didn't carry the load. They weren't totally shut down, but they had a very mediocre night. Credit SD for that.

The result, when you factor in how the rest of the team played, looked like a royal beatdown.

This is not a team. This is the Indianapolis Colts ~1999-2011. The coaches, D, and special teams need to step it up and pull their weight. At least perform at a mediocre level instead of getting schooled.

This is not just one game for the defense, special teams, and coaches. They've sucked for weeks.

I cant spell his name either....

..but I dont think this is the end of the Broncos

...at the start of the year..,they'd have been happy with 5-1 in the division and a split with SD.

...and yes they do need Wes Welker

We've literally never beaten the Patriots in Gillette (I mean, comeon, even the Jets and Dolphins have pulled out an occasional W at that place, and 0 of 10 there is pretty pathetic).....if you get past Miami and Baltimore you guys can pretty much be penciled in for the #1 seed.
