Is Bryce Young heading the David Carr route?

I feel bad for Bryce Young. He is getting hammered left and right. He was put in a no win situation by being drafted into an organization that did not have a plan to support him well with good draft picks and acquisitions. He is heading down the David Carr path running for his life and having people in his face constantly.

NFL GMs have to understand not all small sized QBs are going to be Kyler Murray or Baker Mayfield and if you want them to be, you have to surround them with OL and good offensive support first. I don't think that has happened in Carolina. He will be the most hit or sacked QB of all the rookies taken in the 2023 NFL Draft and probably won't see a second starter contract because his confidence will be damaged and get to the point of irreversible.

Can't be that Carolina sees it exactly that way . He's being benched next week in favor of Andy Dalton.

Carolina really screwed us taking the little QB before Stroud.

Apparently, this last game, he was pressured only 4 out of his 29 drop backs, so OL is getting a bad rep based on last year, it seems.

Also, he started tearing up after throwing an INT. It is a sign of a QB panicking and getting low on confidence too. You have to have tough skin to play QB in the NFL.

He started crying? That does not sound like him. I heard that Carolina fans are brutal. The owner is worse.

Seems like very dejected and on the verge of tears to me.

I did not see that. The video ends when he is about to undo his helmet. Everywhere I have checked said that he was about to cry. I have not seen proof that he is crying.

Hopefully he will go to a better situation. I will take him as my backup for half a year.

Do the Panthers think they can win with another QB?

We got a few answers this week with freaking Andy Dalton lighting it up. Not a good week to be Bryce Young. :)

Agreed. The things that made him great in college are no longer there. He was supposed to process and make reads fast, get out into space and make plays out of the pocket.

Yeah, now Andy gets revenge game versus Bengals and could render the kill shot for the Bengals’ playoff hopes.

He's going to do it too. That defense couldn't stop a high school offense last night.

Cam Taylor Britt is the most overrated CB I think I've ever witnessed. Talks trash all week long and then does something completely *ic to cost the team.

Burrow was supposed to herald in a new era of Cincinnati football and move away from the "thug" label. Instead the team looks more and more like the 2010 era.

I think the culture might be poisoned thanks to the Brown family and Duke Tobin.

Praying for Bryce Young!!

May a quality team trade for him - and - help him develop.

Carolina is the new "laughing stock" team of the league.

I bet Frank Reich is counting his blessings for being allowed to escape early on in David Tepper's ownership.

I feel sorry for him.

Sure he is undersized and can barely see beyond his Oline. But Kyler Murray has the same size and is doing better(more elusive and better runner).

I think to make him a franchise qb, would've been a long shot. But what the Panthers are doing to him is almost criminal. He has no talent around him to help him.

Or a coach....Canales seems to be a good Assistant Coach if he can work directly with a qb (Maybe we can lure him to the Colts to work with AR lol). But as a head coach, he has other duties.

All in all, he was drafted to the wrong team at the wrong time.

A decent talent wasted...

Personally, with our Colts OLine, our JT, and our receivers, I think he would have worked out fine here in Indy.  But that’s not going to happen….

    • I would honestly trade pittman and draft someone that is A a better player more dynamic weapon and B cheaper.
    • Gus will get fired and nothing else will change.   After the Colts finish with a top 15 pick its going to be the same thing.   Ballard will say “Look, we didn’t get it done. I will hold myself accountable and I didn’t give us enough to do go win games. Look We had some tough injuries. Things just didn’t go our way. I still believe in these young guys.”   Ballard mentioned in his earlier years that he will spend to get the team over the top. Once he believed the Colts were close to a championship he would be willing to risk more to get some guys to put it all together. Problem is, we haven’t even been close because of his poor decisions and stubbornness.    Okay rant over.
    • Guys I will take the blame for all the injuries. I don’t know what I did to get cursed but all of my sports teams this year are made of glass. I’m a huge braves fan and we lost our star outfielder Ronald Acuna for the year and our star pitcher Spencer strider for the year.  That’s not all, our all star level players Ozzie albies ,Austin Riley , and Roy winner Michael Harris, lost over 50 games each with injury.   Oh and our best pitcher and this years most likely cy young winner got injured and couldn’t pitch in the playoffs.    I feel like I’ve seen so many injuries this year on my favorite teams that I’m some how causing it , like medusas gaze lol.    No but seriously I think this could be a blessing in disguise. Pittman wasn’t exactly lighting the world on fire and I think our young guys could use the experience of stepping up into a higher role in the offense. We will see how it goes.
    • it was over when ballard did not address the defensive backfield
