Alright, who else is headed to Detroit this Sunday?

Who else is headed to Ford Field this Sunday! Much shorter drive for me! Only 2 hours to Detroit from where I am opposed to the 7 hours I drove to Indianapolis in week 2.

Hope to see some Colts blue in the D, I don't want to be the odd man out!

Enjoy the game, hopefully it's an exciting one and a win for the Colts. Going to be very tough though and most of all be safe!

I'm heading up there too. Be dressed in my Halloween costume from this year- replica of the colts cheerleaders uniform. Glad it's inside! This will be my fourth away game. Haven't encountered anything too hostile yet. Thinking about hiring bodyguards for my trips to Oakland, Philly, and San Fran. Heard those can be a little rowdy.

San Francisco is not bad. The bay area has such a mix of fans of all teams you usually had seen more of the opposing teams fans then 9er fans but has changed of late with them winning. My g/f has season tickets so already have that game checked. we will go to the colts/broncos game next year for my indy trip

Oakland on the other hand i would not go to and i have friends that are raider fans.

Don't be in the city after dark.

Some of the Detroit ridicule is over-the-top and, quite frankly, old. Why do we feel the need to continue beating on Detroit? We all know it has severe problems and large pockets of decay. But the area around Ford Field, Greektown and downtown are decent. I've never felt threatened down there, even after dark.

Having made several business trips there it is first, common klnowledge to avoid the city at night and second I have been told by motel managers to avoid at all costs. I'm simply stsating facts. Would anyone let their kids be there at night?

I live a few miles south of the state line and it's about the same either way but not driving to Detroit.

If you stay downtown, you'll be alright. You take the train from your hotel to the stadium, then you go back.

I haven't been there since 2007, I think, and word is that the police force is even more stressed now than they were then. But the downtown area was well lit with plenty of activity and police presence. Anything around Ford Field or Comerica Park should be okay, especially on game day.

I'm talking about downtown, Greektown, etc. Have had no problems there. I'm not talking about hanging out in Highland Park or around 8 Mile.

OH MY GOD!!! What a game to be at. You see those comebacks on tv and wonder what its like to be there. I was.

GO COLTS!

There were a few of you guys that they showed on TV. I get to go to Tenn, but usually sit so high up in the nose bleeds that it would take a telescopic lens to find me.

I bet you where flipping out!!!

Why yes, yes I was. I kept quiet for most of the game since it was the opposing teams home field. But rest assured I cheered very loudly when we scored the final TD.

Detroit fans were indeed quite welcoming, had a good time, several people shook my hand when the game was over.

That's great, glad you had a good time and what a game that would've been to see. I didn't feel optimistic at all, then the last 5 mins of the game where just completely unexpected.
