These are just my observations from the pics on the colts website

 

-No sign of andrew on the field

-Nelson vs johnson looked intense

-the oline formation looked the same minus AC

-Haeg was still at Center

-Mewhort seem to have been practicing

-Leonard still not on the field, but Smith

was?

-A lot of looks at WR. A very deep pool of unproven talent

-Robert Jackson getting some starter reps it seems as he was matched up with Doyle

 

If you saw anything I missed, go ahead and add on to the list

I don't think that means he's getting starter reps, it just means that is how it came up in the rotation.

I noted it seems that way. he was going up against Doyle

I know what you typed.  All I'm saying is that does not mean Jackson is getting starter reps.  It just means that in the rotation he was on the field at the same time as Doyle.

Why would Doyle be on the field at the same time as the second and third team defense

I'm sure every team does it differently but during OTAs there is very little 1st team versus 2nd team etc.  It's just groups for offense usually based on the # of QBs and players fill in as needed.

 

With a position like TE all the TEs probably get quite a bit of work with all the QBs.  Same thing on D, they probably rotate out per position group, not the entire D.

It's all good.  And I'm a Jackson fan I made a post about him a couple of weeks ago.  And you very well may be correct.  Especially with so many CBs missing practice.

David DeCastro has a habit with his feet being behind the center. This sometimes cause the center to be tripped up. It also caused an injury one season. I hope Nelson cleans that up.

Vuj stomped a couple of guys last year and is still around.  I hear what you're saying, and I feel assured Nelson will be given time to adjust if he shows that tendency, lol.

Yes, I noticed that one. The body control and balance probably saved an injury. Love that part. Nelson is plainly not just a fat guy. They all talk about his flexibility which is rare among big men. And by the way, he looks to be a full grown man to me. That left side might really be a load.

@CR91  You said Mewhort was practicing?  Matt Danely said he wasn’t out there, but that may have been a different day.  

 

I think the only only real thing you can get from these OTAs is player status.  They’re not hitting or going full speed for the most part.

It looked like he was. He he was dressed, with his helmet on, and on the field
