Dominique Jones Revolving Door

The Colts just released him again. Probably because Fleener is healthy now. It's like the guy is on call when needed.

I wonder who they'll pick up next?

Offensive lineman maybe? Justice and Reitz went down. I can't think of any other injuries from the Detroit game.

Yeah, that makes sense. Hills wasn't active Sunday, but he's already on the roster. Maybe they'll bring up Anderson.

OL help since Shipley had to end the game at OG

Well I thought they might work out Stanford Routt, but Houston is doing that tomorrow. If they don't go after another CB, I'd say they'll bring in someone for the oline.

Such is life for a 4th string TE.....

I did like him in preseason though. Coaches just liked Saunders better.

With the way he is in and out of the line up, I call him Gijon Robinson version 2.0 :)

He's so much less sucky than Gijon Robinson.

They must literally tell him "dont let the door hit you on the way because we might need you if an injury happens". :)

Brown went down too. Justice and Reitz will have to go through the league mandated 4 Phase recovery for concussions. UGH!

When I saw Revolving Door in the title I thought this was going to be about the Offensive Line lol.

Agree with SMONROE. Let's see what Justin Anderson can do!

There are no other options at this point...might as well see if Anderson has what it takes...but if Chappy threw him like a rag doll im not that enthusiastic

The texans did indeed sign Routt

Jason La Canfora@JasonLaCanfora

Texans are signing CB Stanford Routt, formerly of Chiefs and Raiders

That would be Hayworth Hicks, not Anderson

No, it's not. At the time of reported feat by Chapman Hicks was on Colts' practice squad.

Stanford Routt is awful. I would be 100 % against signing him.

Hmm.....I bet I can name 4 Corners on the Colts that all would or should have been worried about getting a pink slip if we would have signed Routt

1.Powers-God love him his days of pretending to be a starter are over, good effort guy just doesn't have the necessary skills

2.Cassius "Penalty" Vaughn

3.Teddy Wiliams-who?

4.Josh Gordy-I think has some potential as a Nickel Back

I think we have one of the deepest tight end units in the league. I wish Arians would be more creative with the way he uses them. Saunders has basically been an extra linemen since he's been here. We need to send multiple TE's out on routes sometimes. I understand having to leave one in to block at times, but we need to have some plays where they are running safe, checkdown routes instead of staying in to block all the time. If all they're going to do is block, you might as well put an extra linemen on the field. It becomes a wasted spot when we don't utilize the versatility that comes with the TE position.

I agree with this.

Plus let's see some of those Arians 3 TE sets. Why not have Allen, Fleener and Saunders on the field at the same time? Then you can either have a power run formation, or send em out to catch against LB's.

    • Another interesting stat about Mack is that he has played zero snaps in the NFL. Happy people are optimistic though.
    • Supe..I appreciate the effort ...... 3 things..come to mind   Of the 3 vets Boston would LOVE to give us for PG, ..Avery Bradley has quality..a former all-star Unless I have misread his birth date, Paul George will be 27 next season..... all next season...His birthday is May 2. He will eventually be better than LeBron because LeBron will decline..its inevitable. LeBron will be 33 next year   ..and if, we do your deal and, as you say, we are competitive in the East for the title in 3 years and, since he's a solid shooter with insane wingspan  Fultz proves to be even better than Paul George..(lets say that happens) .... ...Fultz will, in 3 years,  be one year from free agency and we will have to get a big name free agent or he will walk.(sound familiar?)   The whole thing is just kicking the can down the road.....and not trying to win now Eventually, you have to go for it. I believe, as I know you know, that time is now..next year..... 2017-2018
    • To be fair, the team he was on doesn't exactly match up well against those better teams    But I see your point
    • My tastes vary between Metal to Death Metal to Hard Rock to Rap to R&B.   So right now..... Favorite Metal tune all-time:  "Orion" by Metallica - even though no vocals, perfect blend of musicianship Favorite Death Metal tune all-time:  TIE!  "Biomech" by Allegaeon and "Proponent For Sentience II: The Algorithm"  by Allegaeon - I know you don't know them but take my word for it Favorite Hard Rock tune all-time:  "Unchained" by Van Halen (not Van Hagar) - so many by VH but it's my fav Favorite Rap tune all-time: "Nuthin But a G Thang" by Dre/Dogg - that intro tho; I don't smoke but if I did I could see myself doing it with this playing in the background LOL Favorite R&B tune all-time:  "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan, although "Congratulations" by Post Malone is making a run for me right now
    • You just don't get the concept of the matching salaries required in NBA trades... If NY wanted to trade Carmelo to us they would have to take matching salaries.. .....they would then release the players with expiring contracts they didn't want.   Understand?

    •   Sorry to keep harping on the Irish thing, but did you know the horseshoe has seven points on it?  (The Colts horseshoe, anyway.  Actual shoes for horses depend on the farrier).   Seven is considered a lucky number...  Lucky.  Luck.  I'm telling you, you picked the right team to root for.   7
    •   Don't hold Boston against the Irish.  It's not our fault.    We love our green, which makes Indiana a tearmann.   I love it that you chose to root for an underdog instead of the Pats.  I don't think it's coincidence that you became a fan around the time Luck got drafted to the Colts.  That's providence.     Horseshoe?  Luck?  Four-leaf clover?  Come on.  Hoosier Hospitality has roots in Irish fun-lovery.  If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough!  May the luck of the Irish be with you!
