Grant Stuard was a tackling machine

The record for tackles in a game is 24. Stuard , who replaced Carlies , had 19 . I'm not sure if they were ever on the field before Carlies was injured but he had 5.

Kid was everywhere today.     Played great.   I'm envious of his hair

Me too . About 80% of mine ended up down shower and sink drains.

He kept it simple react and tackle.

He also wraps up.   Not trying to knock the runner to the ground with a shoulder.   That's taught in pee wee football.  I can remember running laps  for arm tackles in junior high.   It's crazy how every week we see it.   Not just the Colts either

Just went back and watched his college highlights. I know they are highlights but he is violent tackler. He is a Bob Sanders playing LB, lol. Maybe he is the player, like Bob, that makes his team mates play aggressive? Nice to see out there.

It is funny, but the best D players on this team are either free agents, late picks, waiver wire additions, and/or guys acquired thru a trade. Can u only imagine what kind of D we would have of the FO hit on some of their early picks????

Tackling numbers aren't a good stat for an LB. It's their job to tackle. EJ hasn't impacted a single game this year other than clean up which is what Stuard did today. Made the tackles any professional should.

Our D line is so banged up and our run D scheme is still a mess, that it forces EJ and Nick Cross to be the top tacklers in the NFL.

Darius impacted a game with turnovers. Don't disrespect him like that @Dark Superman

I never watched him in college but I remember when we first got him and I saw his highlight reels in college I said this guy is going to be a stud. He just popped off the screen with his play.  I really think he’s going to be a good player in the future.

Stuart looked like prime Darius Leonard out there today. All he needed was a FF or pick.

Leonard was a better all around player but he never, ever played with the physicality that Stuard displayed today.

Pretty poor post and it appears you are alone on the above opinion . Do you get good reception in Australia ?

Pretty poor response to not have a football take, and then say that Australia has no reception.

How about we debate on the facts?

No desire to debate someone who "poo hoos" a 19 tackle game by a "underdog " who was flying all over the field.
