I'm tired of the cliches I've heard the past 12 years or so, here are a few of my pet peeves, please add your own and let's see how many we can quote.

That's on me.

We gotta get that cleaned up.

We gotta do a better job.

We have the right guys in the locker room.

We gotta get that fixed.

We're better than that.

We got a lot to correct.

It's early, there's a lot of football left.

Every coach on the losing end has the same responses. They must be in the coaching handbook.

I like who we got.

We have to execute better.

We're gonna evaluate that.

We feel good about......

What about wood chopping? oh thats different coach

There's a big difference between learning to play the game and learning to win games. The Colts never seem to get past learning (or trying) to play the game (chopping wood and every other cliche you can think of). It's been that way for years now with several different coaches and general managers. You can lose a team through continually losing games.  We've seen that happen over and over again.

    • The biggest problem is that the rest of the team is playing like trash around the rookie QB.    Of course the essentially rookie QB that has played 6 NFL games is going to be a rollercoaster.  He's known to have accuracy issues, and is for some reason being forced to be a pocket passer.    When the highest paid O-line in the league can't block, that's problem.  When the WR's can't catch passes that bounce off their hands, that's a problem.  When the highly invested in $$ D-Line (like 5 1st or 2nd rd players) can't block and LB's get consistenly washed, that's a problem.  When the highest paid kicker in the league can't kick and gets hurt constantly, that's a problem.  When the defensive scheme is to "bend not break" but the bends are to the tune of 100 yards a series, that's a problem.   Now's the time to strike in other areas while you have a QB on a rookie contract. Actually, this all should've been figured out already by the GM and all positions should've been rock solid by now.
    • Preach!      External clean-ups mean little if not accompanied by internal change.
    • OFFENSE: Get Mallory or literally anyone else at TE back out there, and sit Granson on the bench.    Get some bootlegs in there and get some plays where AR throws on the run. Dude is awesome at that.    Run JT one way and AR the other on some designed runs. Keep the D guessing. Either way....RTDB!    Get some more snaps under center. Tired of Colts being highest team in league out of shotgun. Give JT some steps before he gets the ball.    More play action!!!    Get the WR's some of those orange gloves that Reggie wore. Sleep with the ball in their hands like TY used to. Something's gotta change.      DEFENSE:  Get rid of the 5-10 yards off man coverage soft as a down comforter zone. This might've worked 2 decades ago, but Cotls D makes below avg QB's look All Pro consistently.  It's the same thing every week since Gus has been here. Rush 4, don't set the edge, don't blitz and give up 18 yards when it's 3rd and 15.    Sit Franklin until he learns how to not get washed out every play.
