So during the beatdown by your team @RollerColt, it was announced that the Field of Dreams game next year will be Cubs at Reds, in Iowa.

I saw that, I’m sure a lot of fans around the nation aren’t too happy, but we’ll all be enjoying the experience.

Votto is having quite the night. Got to 2,000 hits and managed to get a hit twice in the same inning.

Reds are only 2.5 games back of that final WildCard spot. Maybe the Padres will choke it away?

Perhaps. Can’t sleep on the Cards either. They’re crawling back into the picture.

Reds are about to beat the Cubs tonight and are a solid 2 games ahead of the Cards. I think the Cards are done but they have been playing better lately. Brewers have the division wrapped up but catching the Padres is possible.

The Padres picked up Jake, that will be interesting. To add salt to our wound, he will probably pitch good lmao . Cubs have lost 11 in a row, we stink but had a very good to great run from 2015-2020, winning the WS in 2016. The off season will be something to keep an eye.

The positives? The fans are coming back to normal, no more bandwagon, just the fun loving, Lovable Loser type of fun. Can kinda laugh at just how it is, hopefully next year is back to 15-20. Also, I kinda want to lose 15 straight set that new record!

I was surprised it was not the Cards/Cubs, I am also surprised you guys are the home team. Since we are the close one.

Yeah I still watch here and there even when we stink haha . We are at 12, so why not 15 lmao

I've given up on them this season.   Will still keep an eye on them though.   It's always nice to finish ahead of the Cubs though.

I never count St. Louis out. I've seen them make the most incredible comebacks to finish seasons. You just never know.

Hey the Cubs are now on a Winning Streak!

Sorry @RollerColt I would never have thought we'd take two of 3

I was expecting it honestly. Can’t win them all but I think the team is just not there for a wildcard spot. We’ve had plenty of chances, but just can’t seem to capitalize when it matters most.

Meanwhile, the Cards are on an 8-2 run.

It's been quiet in here for a while so here is some history. Since the 1991 season through the 2020 season - we are going back 30 seasons, that is 3 decades. Here are the best teams record wise that of won the WS:

1. 1998 Yankees 114-48

2. 2016 Cubs 103-58

3. 2009 Yankees 103-59

The Red Sox went 108-54 in 2018 but many considered them cheaters so an * belongs next to them. The Astros cheated in 2017 and only went 101-61 - sorry you don't qualify, Cubs were better! homer GIF

I will always have my 2016 Cubs who were dominant, the standouts:

Pitchers

Jake - starter

Lester - starter

Hendricks - starter

Chapman as the closer

Hitters

MVP

Rizzo

Baez

Zobrist

Manager

Maddon

Us being over .500 over 21 seasons is pretty respectable (1658-1640). We also made 4 NLCS's in that time frame = 2003, 2015, 2016, 2017 and won a WS in 2016. As a Cubs fan who has endured many bad seasons, looking at the last 21 seasons looks good haha .

Great Birthday gift to me!

Got a very important WNBA game tomorrow but did see the score
