I wish Pat the best but here is what scares me the most.  I didn't realize that the guys who run barstool are the guys who were protesting the NFL and the commish during deflate gate.  They got arrested at the headquarters and have been banned from NFL activities.  He was on DD's radio show and said they were escorted out of media events this week at superbowl events.  As much as I hate some of the things the NFL does I would not want them on my bad side.  They have an unlimited amount of resources and could put barstool under in no time.

I can't believe that.  HERE ?

Right?! I mean I don't find Pat funny in the least...like totally can't stand to watch his stand up or his little video blogs etc but I do recognize he has been a great player for us and outside his embarrassing endevour into the canal has been a good guy in the community. He has gotten better each and every year here. At first he just had this huge leg that he didn't know how to control...often out putting his coverage, not using the boundaries, and had issues pinning teams deep. As his career went along he got much much better until he has been probably the best punter in the league the past couple years. He was a big contributor to the team and he will be missed. I don't think him retiring is going to make a big difference in this team making progress the next several years so in the long run its a blip on the radar but he was a good teammate and a fan favorite. While I don't "get" his sense of humor or really appreciate it I don't know why people would want to get so mean...but its the internetz so it usually doesn't take 7 pages for that to happen so that must say something.

I like his sense of humor. Very dry.... my style.

however, i doubt i could sit thru an hour of it.  i think he's funny, just not THAT funny.  I think his comedy success piggy-backed off of his football. I don't see him having a comedy career (that pays the bills), without his football notoriety .

But i wouldn't mind at all if he proves me wrong.

good luck Pat, you crazy nut.

Who cares?

he is just a punter that gets in front of the camera too much.  His clown show needs to stay away

Any Colts fans should care.   We are losing the best player at his position.  He'll be replaced, but we will no longer see the most touch backs in the league.   It's a step backwards for sure.   Not a season breaker, but a big loss non the less.

When I heard about this nights ago I was completely shocked. I won't get into why he wants to retire too since it's not my business but his.

But, this is a loss. Pat was an EXCELLENT punter (and leader)......he won't be that easy to replace IMO unless we get very lucky. Special teams for the most part has been a bright spot so it does worry me a little now.
