Pass protection was great!

Our O-Line is going to be good. I liked what I saw as the game went along.

I like our starters.  I still have some reservations here or there about playing a team that blitzes a lot.  Skys the limit if we handle that well.   Didn't feel Detroit did too much blitzing.  We'll see a lot against the Broncos, but they may back that stuff up if Luck starts skinning them.

Taking the place of who?  Sio or the other backups?  McNary?

Mcnary. He doesn't cover or even play the run well

He's not going anywhere.  Let's see what Morrison can do more.

"#Colts left side duo of LT Anthony Castonzo and LG Jack Mewhort was particularly strong, allowing just one hit and one hurry combined."

The #Colts [o-line] allowed just 1 sack and 7 total pressures on 51 passing plays … ranks 4th … so far this week. https://t.co/9az9Lr4hV6

Yeah, all three were fouls. I am sure they missed some on the Colts too but the hit on Luck bothered me because weak or not you can't hit the QB like that when they give themselves up, again not so much because it impacted the game, it didn't really, but more so because of principal of the rule which is to protect QBs.

Oliver Luck believes there may be something sinister going on.

Outstanding.  Good missed once on a twist and Kelly was pushed back into Luck on a three step drop, but overall, if they protect him like they did this game, we could very well lead the league in scoring.

Just wanna say when Luck can step up into the pocket set up and deliver he looks really good . Cant remember a line that gave him that leisure seems luck has been running around making things happen since he was drafted .

Jack played an amazing game. Still looks hurt to me though. Hopefully we can get him rest between plays. Myself personally still have wait until week 3 of this year. We'll know what this team is all about then. More test are ahead for our team. Not just offensively, but our defense as well.

Honestly Moose did a good job yesterday highlighting on a passing play for a TD,to one of the running backs that DQ was telling Morrison the play was coming right at him and Morrison just couldn't get there.

I also know several people covering the Colts have pointed out Morrison is more like DQ and not really built to cover.  I know Holder said at one point if you don't like seeing DQ covering tightends you really don't want to see Morrison doing it.

Honestly yesterday showed me just how much we miss Freeman.

Not really he is no better with the Bears , maybe when secondary is healthy they can use Geathers in some TE situations , but really don't know the answer . Morrison was pretty good overall for first game. Just think the missed coverage was inexperience.

    • OK....    here we go....    my list is not to be taken as complete,  but it's as much as I could find after doing a number of searches...   I'm sure I may have missed a player here or there...   I used the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a reference.    I tried not to go back too far.   So, I won't have guys like Butkus, or Nitzchke or Nobis...     they didn't have good medical, training, nutrition, etc.   So,  I went mostly with guys who have played since 2000...    but there are some who were drafted in the mid-90's and whose career extended into the 2000's....    This list is not ALL linebackers, just most of the top ones.    I did not include outside linebackers.    But I can make another list if you like..   Middle or Inside Backers.   1.  Patrick Willis       https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillPa98.htm 2.  Navarro Bowman https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BowmNa99.htm 3.  Jarrod Mayo https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MayoJe99.htm 4.  Brian Urlacher https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/U/UrlaBr00.htm 5.  Sean Lee https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LeexSe99.htm 6.  Jon Beason https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BeasJo99.htm 7.  Brian Cushing https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CushBr99.htm 8.  Jonathon Vilma https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/V/VilmJo99.htm 9.  DQWell Jackson https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JackDQ20.htm 10.   Bart Scott https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/ScotBa20.htm 11.   David Harris https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrDa99.htm 12.   Keith Bullock https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BullKe00.htm
    • I don’t care if you find my “sad” reactions are weak.    I find your views of the Colts....   unique.    Makes me wonder how many games you were actually able to view last year?   As for your claims of using facts and data....  don’t forget opinion.   You live yours (which’s fine),  but sometimes you think your opinion is fact.   Those have drawn some of my sad faces...  and even some laughing faces too.    Camp starts in a week...   plenty for you to opine on....
    • Amen brother.   I'm lighting candles nightly too.
    • I am just happy there seems to be an increase in our teams health. It is something to be happy about.
    • @NewColtsFan   is your "sad" "reaction" a disagreement to most of my posts?    if so, feel free to challenge with a reply. you're constant "sad" faces are pretty weak. happy to debate with fact and data.
