Whatever he does out there today he'll be taking some of the heat off of TY and other receivers. As far as I'm concerned, any yardage that he gets is a bonus.  It's not always the "big play" that makes the difference between winning and losing. It's a lot of little things, like pulling a safety over a couple of steps, or throwing a downfield block that add up to success. You don't see this stuff on a stat sheet, but coaches and teammates appreciate it.

 

It will be interesting to see how he develops next year, and hopefully he'll turn out to be a guy that defenses have to account for.  Can you imagine the nightmare for a DC who has to game plan for an emerging Rogers plus Reggie and TY in a three-receiver set?

I thought so too but we'd rather stare down TY, Griff, or Fleener rather than maybe trying to target Rogers. However, it's tough to target him if he never gets on the G..D... field.
