MJD to Test Free Agency

Said the Jags aren't going to try and sign him prior to Free Agency.

I think it will be the Rams. Jeff Fisher loves to run the ball, has seen MJD up close in the AFC South division for years and would love to have him backing up Zac Stacy.

 

If Jack Del Rio gets a job somewhere other than the Vikings (maybe Browns), he will bring MJD there.

 

Heck, if Donald Brown leaves, we might be in play for MJD's services too .

 

Browns seem to be the best fit however overall.

I would of loved MJD a few years ago but I'm honestly happy with Ballard,Brown and Richardson.

Gotta agree. Patriots would pick them up. MJD doesn't have much left and I'm sure he wants a chance at the championship..

I don't think the Patriots are going to be in a position cap-wise to add many high profile FAs this offseason. They've also got Blount, Ridley, Vereen, Bolden... pretty loaded at the position right now. 

 

I wouldn't even venture to guess, given the market for RBs the past couple of seasons combined with MJD's age and injury history, what he'll get on the market.

 

In all honesty, I see better fits for him anyway. The Jets, the Giants, Miami, Houston maybe (if Tate is gone and Foster isn't 100%), Cleveland, Carolina, Arizona... lots of teams could use an upgrade at RB that MJD would bring.

Weren't there some analysts who thought the Jags should have traded MJD to the Cowboys?  DeMarco is always hurt and MJD will give you a similar, hard-nosed running style.
