does seau deserve to be a first ballot HOFer?

Well, evidently he did deserve it.

 

10 time All Pro.

12 time Pro Bowl Selection.

1990's All Decade team.

A 20 year career (which is pretty outstanding in itself)

and the list goes on.

The Seau call was one of the easiest to make.

 

An absolute lock at first ballot, and not because he died tragically.  

 

Seau was a holy terror on the field.    The type of player you had to account for on every snap.  

 

Otherwise,  BOOM,  there goes the player with the ball!

Loved him as a player but I don't think he is a first ballot HoF compared to some. Ahead of a guy like Kevin Greene? Nah I cant buy that, He certainly earned going though

Yeah.    Far ahead of Kevin Greene.

 

Kevin Greene isn't in the same area code as Junior Seau.

 

Greene was a pass rusher, but that's it.

 

There was nothing Seau couldn't do on a football field.

Glad he made it. was an absolute balla.  Marvin definately gets in next year IMHO

Seau was one of the best linebackers to ever play the game. 

 

 

Even late in his career when he went to New England, he still was good, but in his prime with San Diego, he was an absolute monster.

 

The 1994 chargers may have got destroyed in that SB, but they did have a pretty good defense in the early to mid 90's back when Stan Humphries was the QB.

 

Leslie O'Neal was on that team with Seau, great guy. The 1992 Chargers started the year 0-4 and finished 11-5, and even won a playoff game.

 

Seau was one of my favorites, I was very upset when I found out about his death. 

 

If you ever play the Tecmo Super Bowl games on the Super NIntendo, try out the Chargers. Their defenses in those games are amazing. I think Seau is the fastest LB in TSB III, I am not sure, but he's a high ranked player in them.
