Colts Vs. Ravens Game Day Thread

Hi, Colts Nation!   :)   Baltimore Ravens visit and play a regular season game with our Indianapolis Colts for the first time in six years.  Ravens , by the way,  were the NFL team that arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1996, that also replaced the Baltimore Colts when the franchise left Baltimore to Indianapolis on a cold night back in March 1984

Ravens unfortunately defeated our 24-9 Colts during the 2012 AFC Divi.sional Playoff Game played at M&T Bank Stadium, on their way to winning Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans back on January 6, 2013. Colts were without Interim Head Coach, and Current Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians, because of Arian's undisclosed illness.  Colts QB coach Clyde Christensen had to step in and both lead the Colts players and call the offensive plays.

Colts won their last regular season home game over the Ravens by the score of 31-3 back on October 12, 2008.  Former Colts QB Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes, 67 yards, and 5 yards  to Marvin Harrison, 22 yards to Reggie Wayne, along with a Dominic Rhodes 1-yard TD run, and Adam Vinatieri's  37-yard FG, and fout PAT's completed the Colts scoring. Matt Stover's also kicked a 37-yard FG to prevent a Raven's shutout.

Colts lead the all-time  combined regular season (7-3), and postseason series (2-1) over the Ravens at 9 wins and 4 losses, and also outscored the Ravens in the previous 13 games  296 points to 230.  A rivalry that began when our Colts  defeated the Ravens in their inaugural first season in Baltimore, and after their arrival from Cleveland, by the score of  26-21, played at the RCA Dome back on October 13, 1996.

Lucas Oil Stadium's roof should be open for Sunday afternoon's 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because mostly cloudy and partially clear skies at 54 degrees, feels like 51 degrees, is the local game forecast in downtown Indianapolis, along  with 38% humidity, 0% precipitation, and  southwest winds at 13 miles per hour.

Visiting Ravens are wearing their white jerseys and black pants, while the host Colts are wearing their blue jerseys, and white pants.

All NFL teams, including both the Colts and Ravens players, their coaching and team support staffs, amay wear authentic pink NFL equipment and apparel to support the league's 'A Crucial Catch' campaign to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout the month of October.  :ribbon:

NO further injuries to both teams, as the NFL recognizes and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month through October in the 'A Crucial Catch' campaign.  GO COLTS!!!!!  :cheer:  :coltslogo:  :1colts:  :colts:  :coltsfb:  :coltshorse:  :coltslogo:  :cheer:   :ribbon:  :D

    • Rigo had best season of his career by over 2 yards which was amazing and had zero touch backs which was first time in career.
    • Look at those feet!!! Beautifully lined up!
    • I doubt it.   Photography can be misleading.      For the record, AR was 234 in college.  Showed up at the combine at 244.  Then at one point with the Colts said he was in the low 250’s.  But it’s not clear if he stayed at that weight or lost some of it.    So do you think he’s in the 250’s now?   Heavier?   Honestly, the team typically updates the roster in mid-June.   So I’m reluctant to believe anything until the website gets updated.  Again, a camera angle can make a person look taller or shorter, heavier or lighter.  Just saying.    NOTE:   FWIW:  just checked.  This website currently lists AR at 244.
    • Ah, that is good to know. Thanks.
    • When AR got injured, I strongly felt it was partially due to injury he had to his shoulder in college and that it wasn't rehabbed correctly. I am happy he got the surgery and has taken the time with the top medical advisors to rehab his arm. It should be back to where it was if not stronger. Given his age, I rather this happen now than in the future when his body is a bit more beat up.   I think he's going to have a big season this year. Going to have his growing pains obviously but is definitely going to surprise some people with his accuracy and pocket awareness (very natural feel/navigation from what we saw). Pair that up with some Steichen magic and this team is primed for some competitive play against anyone in the league.   Zaire was recently on Chris Long's podcast and the topic of CJ Stroud came up. Zaire said that he was frustrated about some of the stuff Stroud was talking on radio row at the Superbowl. CJ apparently said that he carved the Colts up both times. Zaire had to remind him that A) he hasn't beaten Anthony and B) the first game when Anthony played the Colts were up like 28-7 in the 2nd quarter and playing nearly full prevent defense. It was nice to see the fire from Zaire about both AR and against CJ.
