Franklin had an illness this week and was back at practice the next day. Keep digging because the transactions are not supporting what you said. They didn’t sign a guy to the PS because someone is sick. They already called up David long jr today. Sure maybe Womack does not play but that isn’t the reason for the CB added to the PS.

Your thick as a brick ..they brought up another CB and replaced him in the PS with another CB..that's why they waived Pennix

Womack is sick not injured. The guy they just signed to the PS was not elevated. David long jr will revert back to the PS after tomorrows game.

Long is a keeper, took him time to learn the system but dont be surprised to see him get a bit more playing time each week.  67 games played, over 1,200 snaps on Defense. Brings a vet presence to the boundary position which is lacking. Was all Big 10 at Michigan, high draft pick, came up big in Super Bowl win for Rams.

I was excited when we got him.

All right, prediction time. I am 2-2 on the season now with that upset win we pulled off over that very bad steeler team last week. Everyone is well aware of our recent history in Jacksonville but I will point out a few ridiculous moments. Going back to 2012(Lucks rookie year)the Jags won 3 games but 1 of the 3 was beating us in Indy! In 2020 the season opener in Jacksonville we lost and that was the jags only win that season(oh yea!). 2021 season ender in jag land(and with the playoffs on the line we lost 26-11). For the 2020 and 2021 seasons the jags won 4 games total and 2 of them were against us! So with this insurmountable history of failure in Jacksonville I can only do the logical, reasonable thing and pick the 0-4 jags to get their first win of the season today. Enjoy the game everyone!

Unless ARs hip is worse than we think Flacco won’t start.

 You said we.

I saw a guy try to keep playing after the stupid run that didn't end in a protective slide.

He runs left and his hip gave out so he crumbled to the ground.

Some we's would expect the next hit anywhere near that area would have instantly knocked him out of the next game and deepened the injury costing him who knows how long of a benching.

Some we's say get him very near 100% before he sees the field. In the meantime, let him work on the mental part of the protective big problem that he surely still isn't getting, including some slide drills. This would test that hip while he is at it.

And of course many practice reps on sideline throws, as he has plenty of fundamental basics to work on as he recovers from this debilitating injury.

    • He got open on a lot of short and intermediate routes last year, but Minshew either didn't see him, or had already decided the ball was going to Pittman regardless.
    • He got open so many times last year, but the QB (Mostly Minshew) didn't target him. He's the same receiver this year as he was last year, for the most part, which is to say he's good.
    • Exactly... He was always a deep threat with speed! The problem was he had no one to get him the ball. His rookie season came under an old washed Matt Ryan who had no arm strength left. As a matter of fact the one shining moment Alec had that season was when Ryan threw the ball with all of his left might and hit Alec on a bomb in the back of the endzone for a game winner! Sam Ehlinger had no big arm either as backup nor did Gardner Minshew last season.   I remember how many times last year they would show Alec wide open deep on replays but Minshew was a limited qb unable to make that throw. It appeared that Alec's role a year ago was to simply stretch the field so everything could open up midrange for Minshew who by way has been benched already by the Raiders and their top wr Adams wants out because his numbers have dropped majorly with that qb room!!   The reason why Alec has looked so good with AR and now Joe is because they both have the ability to get the ball downfield which utilizes his skillset. Remember how TY looked without Luck? Not saying TY couldn't route run but his calling card was taking the top off and once Luck was gone it was more shallow outs and slants which led to mounting injuries for TY as he took more shots IMO.   Alec will be just fine and his route running will contine to get better. Teams will no longer try to press him off the line because of his "new found" deep threat abilities (lol) combined with the fact that the OVERALL wr group is much better with Downs, Pitt, Dulin and to a degree AD if he starts losing the alligator arms.
    • Will Levis get ready bro! Tyler Huntley.. you're gonna ball out on your last audition before Tua comes back
    • In practice, Matt Ryan probably thought he had another decade in him.
