Week 6 picks

Broncos 17 Chiefs 38

Ravens 23 Titans 17

Commanders 16 Falcons 19

Vikings 20 Bears 19

Seahawks 23 Bengals 24

49ers 30 Browns 16

Saints 22 Texans 20

Colts 23 Jags 19

Panthers 13 Dolphins 38

Patriots 18 Raiders 21

Lions 24 Bucs 20

Cards 16 Rams 27

Eagles 23 Jets 17

Giants 17 Bills 31

Cowboys 23 Chargers 24

Overall record

Week 1 = 9-7

Week 2 = 12-4

Week 3 = 12-4

Week 4 = 11-5

Week 5 = 8-6

Totals = 52-26

Overall bets, my 2 games each week that I bet $50 on with the point spreads

Week 1 = 2-0 (+100)

Week 2 = 2-0 (+100)

Week 3 = 1-1 (broke even)

Week 4 = 1-1 (broke even)

Week 5 = 1-1 (broke even)

Totals = 7-3, +$200 to the good still.

I am upping the bets this week to $100 Per: my 2 games. I am feeling bigtime right now, we will see how it goes?

-I have Ravens over Titans giving up 4 points. I need to win by 5 or more.

-I have Chargers over Cowboys, I am getting 2.5 points. Cowboys have to win by 3 or more or I win. The Cowboys look like they are in a disarray right now. I rarely bet on Herbert but I am this week with him at home on a Monday Night.

Dak has been passenger instead of being the leader since pretty much his sensational rookie year.

Once the fourth round drafted QB proved he's a starter, he settled for a happy life just going through motions. He doesn't play with the rage he displayed in his first year, and he may not even be able to rekindle that now.

Them 'Boys got tricked.

Chargers are also coming off a Bye week. I think Herbert gets this one.

Herbert seems to be playing a notch higher than seen before... let's hope he keeps it up and we may see some difference if they're in playoffs. As for Cowboys game, as long as Chargers don't give turnovers to Cowboys defense, they should be good. If Ekeler plays, even more easier.

A couple of picks, though no scores listed:

Patriots over Raiders. The Patriots figure things out and take advantage of Josh McDaniel's bad play calling. Maxx Crosby has a sack and pressures Mac Jones in a losing effort.

BOLD BOLD BOLD prediction: the Browns under P.J. Walker hand the 49ers their first loss in a trap game. I don't expect this to happen, but it's a fun scenario to consider. Wouldn't bet money on this unless I wanted to waste money. Odds are too great.

If you put $100 on the Browns and bet straight up, I bet that payoff would be big. I didn't check those odds.

TNF pick for week 6

Broncos  9  @   Chiefs  30

Chiefs defense has surprised this year, both run defense and pass coverage are very tight, they give you very small margin of error. Broncos need football field size-large margin of error to win games, it's clearly a mismatch.

Though Chiefs have historically struggled against the Broncos defense, I think Denver has regressed there too.

NOW WATCH!! Kelce will walk off the field early, WHILE TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER MILLIONS FANS ON AIR CRYING, Mahomes will struggle with his receivers and Chiefs defense has a bad day, Jaleel McLaughlin runs 150 yards on them!!!

10-6, 10-6, 7-9, 11-5, 8-6

Overall, 46-32.

Everyone had the Chiefs last night. So far skimming through everyone's picks (counting last night), The top 3 in here so far are:

1. 2006 (me) 53-26

2. w87r and Moe are tied for 2nd at 50-29. Moe, you are actually 50-29, not 50-28 because a missed pick is considered a loss unfortunately. You missed picking 1 game, I think it was 2 or 3 weeks ago if I remember correctly.

It is funny, the 2 guys that love the Simpsons are kicking butt, homer simpson episode 3 GIF- I figured w87r would do well picking games just by his past posts.

Panthers @ Dolphins,

Maybe this could turn out to be a trap game for Dolphins. We of all people know that Reich is a slow starter, and if he wants to start at all this season, he have to get going right about now. What are the odds of Panthers winning? Could be an interesting bet for the adventurous….

This year, Frank has opted to take it a bit slow.....er, considering the rookie year for the QB, and has plans to start after Thanksgiving Reich-tuals.

I give the Panthers a 1% chance not even trying to be funny. I would be surprised if the Dolphins didn't win this by at least 2 TDs.

London game pick

Ravens 20 @ Titans 13

Though Titans play well at home, it's difficult to believe Ravens losing twice in two weeks. But, Lamar has got to finish off the game by extending leads into unassailable scores, which he seems to have forgotten that he used to do earlier in his career!

Will Henry struggle? Will Hopkins be a difference maker again? I think Titans would do well once Teair Tart is back from injury, but for now they don't look that formidable.

Other picks coming up shortly.

So far I am 9-5, not too bad. I have the Chargers tonight.

I need Herbert to absolutely shred the Cowboys defense tonight so I can win my fantasy football matchup.

Right now I'm ahead by 15 points. If that holds I'll miraculously be 5-1 to start the season.

So, Colts this week will be in new uniform?

Going by memory without fact checking, I think then @Solid84 probably gets to be the winner of predictions this week, I think he'd have got only 3 wrong so far.

I've Dak in one fantasy league, and Cowboys kicker in two leagues, and Lamb in one another. Today is good day.

    • Consensus?  Huh?   I have no idea what that means?   I offered MY opinion.  That’s all.      But I can’t keep up with you.  You just wrote a very long post about how 32 teams have very similar looking Big Boards.   If I had $1 for every time in 13 years I’ve posted that there are 32 teams and 32 completely different looking big boards, I’d be filthy RICH!!     In any given year 32 teams may all agree on the top player, but that the further you get away from the first pick the big boards look very very different.   The exact opposite of what you speculated.  I didn’t agree with one sentence of what you posted here.  You’re entitled to whatever opinion you want but it’s not supported by anything.      I’ve pretty much disagreed with everything you’ve written since the draft started.  But that works to your advantage.  I couldn’t possibly point out all the flaws, so I’ll try to be selective.      Here’s one argument you’ve repeated the last two years.   That Ballard lucked into getting both Woods and Raimann and that he wasn’t even smart enough to realize that Raimann was the better player.  What gets me is that I’ve explained the reasoning to you multiple times and I’ve read other posters explain it to you multiple times.   And we all say the same thing:  That Ballard calculated correctly that because Raimann was 24 and would turn 25 during the season, he stood a better chance of lasting to pick 77 while Woods was taken at 73.   But you keep posting the negative Ballard viewpoint as if NO ONE has explained it to you.  I think it’s both insulting and rude.   It’s what you do when you can’t handle an argument, you just avoid it.  Ballard was smart and right and not only do you not acknowledge it, you try to belittle him every time.    There is sooo much more I could discuss with you but this post is enough.  I’ll be curious if you’ll even respond.
    • Great episode!  Gotta couple notes here I took:   - confirms we were indeed looking to trade up.  My gut tells me it was definitely for one of the big 3 WRs or bowers based off Ballard remark “Let’s try and if it doesn’t happen, we’ll let the draft play itself out.” (Paraphrased).     - they were interested in Latu but didn’t think he’d be there.  I don’t think anyone thought he’d be there at 15 lol.  Don’t know where Latu was at on our board but he was obviously toward the top.  Also can tell he was toward the top based on Ballard reaction “we got the best pass rusher in the entire draft”   - I’m guessing WR was definitely on the top of our board.  Ballard mentioned wanting speed at the position.  AD falling into his lap couldn’t have played out any better.  Also, good to see Reggie happy about his new toys in AD and Gould.     - No side remarks or mentions of any corners.  I’m going to stick with what I said before the draft and that corner was never on our radar.  What also makes me believe that more than ever is that we had the option to choose between the top 2 corners and even in later rounds other corners and we chose not to.  I’ve said it before, Ballard is straightforward.  If he says “I like what we have” he’s not drafting it unless there’s a player that you can’t miss on.  If he says “this draft is deep in ___” you can bet that’s what he has his eyes on and will most likely double dip.  He said he likes our corners, didn’t draft one.  He said this draft was deep in receivers and OL, we drafted 2 of each.
    • That is a very good point, and if I am not mistaken, Turner profiled more as a 3/4 OLB by many scouts.
    • I’d say yes.  Would have to see what would be fair what he provides, but id say yes.
