The only time we saw TY was on the sidelines when Overton was interviewing him.  He looked fine and happy.

I rewatched that interview. TY looked like he was trying to keep "stiff". Wasn't moving his shoulders or arms much at all.

Yet in the post game cam video he’s seen jumping and pushing Leonard out of the frame. This injury situation is strange tbh.

Yep.  Did  not look like his back was injured.

Don’t  know if Reich has a presser  today. They are practicing but don’t know what time or if all the media is just skipping it today.

He doesn’t jump but he seems fine not stiff what’s so ever.

Thank you both.

Yup, he looked to be goofin' a little bit.

Totally strange. On some good pain meds?

So maybe it was off the field??

Still weird that all the other players that didn't play, had pads on, and TY didn't.

My theory is he was dealing with the injury and reaggravated it some time flying back to Indy. Sometimes it just doing normal daily activities that set it off.

Seth Meyers Reaction GIF by Late Night with Seth Meyers

Rochell had a great game vs Detroit, so stock up on him.

Plus, I think we'd get more usage/snaps from him, than several others. And just more flexible position wise.

For instance, I like Banogu, but he's just not going to see a lot of snaps so long as Paye and Turay are healthy and the top 2 RDEs.

Outside Buckner, is there anyone else worthy of a double team on the DL? We need more folks that make teams pay for playing them 1-on-1. Once we get there, it will be fun to watch our DL play every snap.

Brown and Rochell are big boys and looked good last game. Paye is gonna draw some double teams once he burns a few OTs. Lewis is our "Big" DE, so ideally he would when healthy.

It's all hypothetical right now, until it's not.

How many snaps do you think Rochell gets in the Autry role?

AQM can also give us solid early down LDE play too. Bring Turay in at LDE on 3rd down (or Banogu), like we did for the Paye sack on Friday. I think we should be fine there.

Lewis is probably more of a loss as an interior rusher on passing downs imo. Banogu played a few snaps as an interior rusher versus the Lions. Worth keeping an eye out versus the Seahawks.

I forgot about AQM. He might actually be the likely starter if Lewis can’t go week one. I feel good with him.

In college Rochell and Nelson had many battles in practice, Rochell credits Q making him elevate his game.

The true question is, will he play 30% of the snaps or anything close to 60%? 2020 was the first year he played all 16 games in a season with the Chargers.

Lewis is the guy taking the starting Autry role this year. Rochell is depth/rotation. I'd say about 30%?? You really need 2 because they normally play early downs at DE and late downs at 3T. If you don't have a second tweener, you're splitting the role between two guys when Lewis is out. That might not be all that bad though. I just think overall, Rochell is dual purpose, while a guy like Banogu is really half-purpose.

We likely keep 9 on the D Line, Rochell (1) and Lewis(2) can swing between DE and DT like was stated so Rochell is safe. B.B.(3) had a great camp and he needed it and him and Turay (4) are the rush specialists they both stay. Paye(5) is our money guy at DE and AQM (6) our steady vet who gets no ink.  Then we have our dynamic duo in the middle of Stew(7) and Buck (8) so that leave one big left. Stallworth had the lead but seems to have lost it, Woods was a bigger signing then Brown(9) but Brown outplayed him by a lot. Williams showed late in preseason games and likely earned a p.s spot imo.
