Any news on Jalen Collins?

Curious how hes been in practice and if any talk of him being moved up soon especially with a roster spot open.

Hope Mitchel can take him under his wing also. A duo of him and Wilson would be a major improvement if he plays up to his talent and skill set.

That's what I'm thinking too both were highly rated CBs coming into the league

If he can live up to the hype, him and Wilson would be great #1 & #2 CB's,..and Moore in the nickel.

If Haeg is good to go they need the spot, my guess is they would probably make a cut somewhere else if they feel the need to add another TE.  It all depends on if Swoope, Cox and Hewitt can get/stay healthy.

I'm guessing they are testing the waters still and seeing if he can keep his head on straight. 

 

Also, we need TE's.....badly.

I'd keep Collins on the roster just to have him keep on practicing with our defense for the rest of the season. Evaluate him after the season, and if his off the field issues seem to be a thing of the past and he's showing his on field potential then bring him back for 2019 and unleash him.

Of course while he’s on our P/Squad there’s a danger of another team snatching him.

 

Would be a nice coup if we can get him back on the field and productive.

We did the same with Ebron. Snatched him, and he is playing like a 1/10 pick should.

I just have to question how much worse this kid could be vs Milton? This would now be this kids 2nd week of practicing with the team now, correct? I don’t think I’ve ever seen any potential out of Milton playing at corner in any game he has been in, maybe I’ve missed his play but is he valued any more than the lowest cog in the wheel here? It would seem that the new body would present a much higher ceiling here given he stays out of trouble. Idk but I’d probably like to take the higher ceiling player as my low watermark risk.

Just to clarify Ebron was not signed off a practice squad.  We signed him in FA to a two year contract.

Indeed.

 

I was just referring, Ebron was also cut as he was underperforming in Detroit, he excels now.
