2019 FA Wish-List.

Recommended Posts

What 2019 free agents would you guys like to see in Indianapolis at the start of the 2019 season? The Colts will have roughly around 120 million in cap space and hopefully will be able to sign a few guys who can really take this team to the next level. Here's my list.

1. Golden Tate III WR - Lions

2. Rob Havenstein OT - Rams

3. Geno Atkins - Bengals

4. Avery Williamson - Jets

5. Landon Collins - Giants

6. Rashaan Melvin - Raiders

I know most of these guys are bigger names and will command a good contract so signing multiple guys of this caliber is very unlikely. I would be happy if Ballard was able to sign 1-2 bigger name guys but I guess only time will tell.

Who do you guys want? #Colts

Anthony Barr Strong Side LB (Vikings) 26yo injury free +++ better than Najee Goode / Zaire Franklin.  Was drafted R1P9 in 2014 and current position rank 3/46 43OLB.  Seriously doubt the Vikings can retain him unless they franchise him but currently looks like the Vikings have other players that need to get paid as well.

I would offer 6 years (2019-2025) $117m / Avg 19.5m / $45m guaranteed at signing / $73m Practical Guarantees / FA in 2026.  This offer would make him more than Von Miller and under Khalil Mack who just got paid by the Bears.  Realistically could see Barr getting paid between 19.5m to 21m.

Havenstein and Atkins were extended couple of months ago. Williamson has 2 more years left on his deal, Jets signed him in last March.

I really like Collins but he'll get paid. Not sure if Ballard will put that much resources on safeties. I'm personally for it.

Tate, Cobb, Tyrell Williams, Jamison Crowder and Quincy Enunwa are on my wish list at WR.

Barr is not worth being paid similar to Von Miller and Khalil Mack.

If Barr makes it to FA can guarantee he will get paid (over-paid) by some team needing his skill set.  Barr will command top dollar close to Miller and Mack already by being the third best OLB available.  Barr's statistics are equally impressive in the tackling department but does lack in sacks in comparison.

I went through Spotrac.com and looked at this upcoming year's projected 2019 FA list and sadly not many stood out worth acquiring to me other than Anthony Barr to make a long-term impact and true needs based requirement.  The Colts will definitely have the financial cap space to pay Barr.  Call it a fantasy dream come true if our Colts could acquire Barr starting opposite side of the field from Darius Leonard.  The icing on the cake IMO would be to draft MLB Mack Wilson in Round 1 to complete our main starting LBs.  More tape I have watched on Devin White I am not impressed as he seems pedestrian compared to watching tape on Wilson.  I am staying away from Te'Von Coney with his off-field drug related issues.

If we could get 3 or 4 from this list I'd be happy: Bell, Coleman, Tate, Cobb, Enuwa, OT Daryl William's, DeMarcus Lawrence, Ansah, Frank Clark, Clowney, Graham, KJ Wright, Barr, Mosley, Buchannon, Preston Brown, Darby, Roby, Dennard, Verrett, Gaines, Collins, Clinton-Dix, Irving, Malcolm Brown, Bennie Logan.

ballard wants to get talent from the draft and no name free agents, he dosent pay for elite talent, be patient it wont take two many more years and we will compete again

Offhand:

Quincy Enunwa - WR Jets

CJ Anderson - RB Panters - 2 year deal.

Jay Ajayi - RB Eagles

We should really try to improve our RB depth.  It's an embarassment that many teams have 2nd and 3rd options better then the Colts first option.

i concur
