Colts Selection in ESPN Televised Mock Draft

ESPN has Colts selecting OT La-El Collins, passing up DTs Malcolm Brown and Marcus Golden who went a couple picks later. Do you agree with this?

Marcus Golden isn't a first rounder.  Not even close.    He may not even be a 2nd rounder.

 

La'el Collins over Malcom Brown?   

 

For the Colts,  I'd be taking Brown,   but I could easily live with La'el Collins....     he's the OL I'd want most....

I'm not at all upset about drafting la'el Collins. I'd just rather have DT Malcom Brown.

Golden has first round physical talent but not first round production I think because he came to Missouri in 2012, He is a little tight in the hips, I can see him going as high as round 2, Quick first step

I'd have no problem with La-El Collins---Cherilus replacement who could possibly start right away if Gosder's not ready to go.

Don't know how talented those DT's are vs La--El Collins but I would say DL is a greater need then OL.

Malcolm Brown is very good. He'd play 3-4 DE in our system because Chuck likes huge NTs. But he's a good player.

Collins is one of the best lineman in this class. Wouldn't be mad if we took him. He could probably start at RT immediately although most people would like him at guard for a year or 2.

We want to run the ball. Cherilus is a question mark due to health questions. Take Collins. He is a mauler and would really help the run game, and can transition to RT is needed. I will admit, if Collins is done, Malcomn Brown is a player I would love to get in the first round.

With this choice, Brown would fill a bigger need than Collins.

I don't expect Collins to fall out of the top 20 but if I could definitely live with us picking him. He's kind of short limbed and needs to play with better balance but his strength and mauler play on style will find a place in this league even if it's not at LT. And I think he's actually quite pro ready.

Collins will not be there at 29.  we would be insanely lucky.

I could see that happening, especially with Cherilus  injury & Castonzo being an impending free agent.

My mistake. The other DT (mocked to New England) was Eddie Goldman, not Marcus Golden.
