Good Josh McNary story from Grigson Presser.....

So....    Grig's tells a great story in yesterday's presser.

 

He was a McNary fan when he was in Philly and McNary was a terror at OLB/DE for Army.    At the time McNary had a 4th/5th round grade.

 

Then,  McNary had to serve his Army commitment and he falls off the radar....

 

One of Grigson's scouts/assistants reminded him last year about McNary.

 

So,  Grigson signs him.....   and says that McNary was so good,  that within a week he knew Josh would be playing nickel linebacker for us.

 

And of course a short time later,  McNary got hurt.

 

Which Grigson says was a blessing in disguise.    Because he says if McNary was hurt after playing some games,  then there would be some tape on him.....    and if was placed on the PS to get up to speed after the injury he's sure McNary would've been snatched away by another team.

 

So,  sometimes (not often)  the timing of an injury can be a good thing....  and it was in this case with McNary.

Love his prospects.
