I look like Trent Richardson...

If we were to create a stat for useful/informative/new/entertaining comments per post, your efforts really do resemble Mr. Richardson's to date. Shall we hope for improvement there, or just rail on you for your pathetic, myopic nonsense?

I have to admit I respect your passion even if it is fueled by hate! Your break down makes sense for the most part except for when you say defenses do not respect Richardson, I disagree. Just like in Cleveland they stack the box any time he comes out their meaning it's going to be an obvious run play most of the time. And if that does turn out to be the case next year then hopefully if Richardson gets it together he will be able to exploit that for a a while. I agree it is all situational.

This is a myth that has been debunked.

Richardson was 25th in the league in frequency of facing a 'stacked box' his year in Cleveland.

His rate of 17.98% was well below the league average of 23.25%.

Oh, and I'm sure its all because of the terrible blocking you receive up front, and/or because you are forced to post in a format that doesn't suit your skills (if you have any, that is).  Still, allowing you in was by far the worst move this forum has ever made. The moderators ought to be run out of town.

And dont talk bad about the moderators, they perform a valuable and often thankless service. As a forum owner I know first hand how important a quality staff looking out for the good of the forum can be.

Im just excited for what the Colts are going to look like next season with the new additions (one of my fav receivers Nicks) the return of Ahmad Bradshaw who is a workhorse back that I like watching. I (to be completely honest) have not watched Ballard in live footage, only highlights, but from what everyone speaks of him...he is a huge force that will be back...Reggie Wayne is too much of a professional to come back and not be a key player on the football field on any given game! and lastly, Mr Richardson, he (in my opinion) has been humbled and pushed to the point of sink or swim...I truly believe he will be breast-stroking by mid season..He has #1 ample motivation after severely underwhelming running the ball (esp after being unexpectedly traded from Cleveland) and #2 Has to much capable competition in the backfield to be anything less than stellar and see the field much and #3 I think he has too many resources at his disposal to use...aside from his own guys (Bradshaw, Ballard, Faulk, and James) he has Emmitt Smith here back home that I know are not sugarcoating things for him...and giving him honest feedback and steps to improve...So to end all...if he still doesnt deliver...He cant blame a Offensive Line, Injuries, playbooks, etc..he has to then blame Trent! He has all the tools and resources, and the Trent I know isnt afraid to use them and will work his behind off to properly represent the HorseShoe!

Ok, I think im done for a while talking about Trent....Talk doesnt get first downs and touchdowns...thats up to him and the O-Line

Man did the NFL knock this guy down a few pegs. By all accounts he was sort of a  "diva" is what Dquell Jackson called him. Now everyone is bagging on him. He's make for a nice bounce back story, if he works harder than he has, maybe it can happen, but man, when a guy starts his career as badly as he has, the statistics say he is never going to be good.

And now, they're on the same team again!  Woo!

He might have came in believing his hype during his rookie season, but there is no way he has any pull in the locker room or delusions of grandeur after last season.

He isnt considered the greatest asset of this team, so far he has been a liability, I dont think if he was a diva in Cleveland that he will try it here.

if only rg3-13 could realize the same thing and quit auditioning for commercials before the week one. too bad all that superman like rocky balboa gatorade training didnt help him play better

Dont the defensive guys and the offensive guys usually have their lockers on opposite sides of the room ?

If thats the case it would take Trent 12 attempts to get to Jackson to start a fight.

he would throw 2.9 punches and try to dodge dqwell and fall to the ground before dqwell would notice he was there

There is something else that varies widely from state to state finance fees! Some states are lower than others. Arkansas is a mere 17% compared to Colorado's whopping 34%. A good thing to keep in mind when shopping around.Knowing state lending regulations will help protect against fraud.

Yet, there can be some barriers that might hamper and strain the entire process of borrowing a loan. In order to get the personal loan, you will need a reasonable credit rating, preferably something above 620, according to the FICO standards. You will also need quite a good credit report and the lesser the defaults in credit history, the better is your chance of getting the loan.

Some of your comebacks are hilarious lol..question though..if Trent produces as he should would it change your stance on him? just curious..i know its some ppl who just dont like certain players...like ive never liked Emmitt Smith even though hes from my hometown...and no matter what numbers he put up I found reasons to still not give him props...just wondering

If Trent comes out as the beast that some think he will then I will gladly admit that I am wrong. I would rather eat some crow and have a guy killing it in sunday then anything else.

If he comes out average then I will admit he is average and contributes slightly and still not be as down on him as I am now.

If he comes out like last season and is the worst of the 3 backs then I will know I was right about him, but being right will suck because it hurts the team.

My own honest opinion is that average is the best we can hope for. I just didnt see anything there all last season to make me believe otherwise.

I'm nervous about the run game because our line hasn't improved and 2 runningbacks are coming back off injuries and so far Trent stinks.

So in the interest of winning a Superbowl I hope Trent comes out and proves everything I said and thought of him wrong, I would have never in my life been so happy about being wrong if that happened.

A few reminders

It's ok to complain about Trent Richardson in this thread

It's not ok to complain about Trent Richardson everywhere else on the board

It's best to report issues that you see on the board.  That way moderators can deal with it in a timely way.

It is ineffective to complain about site issues within a thread rather than reporting an issue or messaging a moderator about it.  We are not omniscient.  Wish we were but sadly we're not

It's not ok to complain about moderation anywhere on the board

it's not ok to take cheap and personal shots at people anywhere on the board

We all have a clean slate moving forward.........enjoy this thread if it's your thing.  Otherwise, enjoy posting elsewhere

I think most want a GM who takes smart risks ... trading a 1st round pick for a RB never good IMO, but especially with all the needs the Colts still had and have was not a smart risk.

Whether you trade or draft a RB in the first is debatable .

My reply is he has made a smart move  & IMO  there are just 2 many chicken littles running around. IMO  our running game is in pretty good shape & can only get better  .

Faulk & James were the future  & were first round picks T- Rich has nowhere to go but up - You & others harping about a RB in the first  can just as easily be wrong  however  I'll not hold it against anyone for being less than smart  .   Grigson is building a monster it is going into year 3 , Imo the picture will be more clear for the short sighted amongst us by the end of the 2014 season ..

IMO there is not much debate to it.  Unless you are set at every other position, and you know you are getting a top 3 RB drafting a RB in the first is a waste or a luxury pick.

How can you justify the trade as a smart move? Especially when you already know the outcome. I doubt even Grigson would repeat that trade.

I don't think the sky is falling, but I think it is probably the biggest mistake Grigson has made up to this point and at the very least prevented the team from making improvements and probably actually hurt the team.

Faulk and James were the tail end of a different era (for lack of a better description at the moment) ... the 1 work horse back is the exception not the rule going forward.  I think the number of top RBs taken outside the 1st round show that myself and others who are opposed to 1st round picks used on RB are likely not wrong.

I assume the bolded is supposed to to refer to "you & others harping about RB in the first" .. but I can't really tell, you probably need to work on the wording and placement your "clever jabs" a little more.

Doing well in 2014 doesn't mean the TR trade was not a mistake. it simply means the team persevered in spite of a huge mistake; and just think they could be even better if Grigson had added something of value to the team with that 1st round pick.

Grigson has already said he would do the trade all over again.

It's simple...... up to this point, for those of you who think he is a failure, it was a bad trade. For those of us who want to give Trent another season, it is not.

What else is he going to say?

If you truly believe he means that, that should be more worrying than the trade itself.

I know I got in trouble with mods for a tongue-in-cheek comment (which has since been removed) intended to lampoon the "TRich trade was aweful, so Grigs is a failure" schtick. I apologized to Nadine, but do so here for all the other mods. I hope you know I think you guys rock.

Frankly, I don't really think the trade for Richardson was a good move. I argued last year with JShipp and a few others who wanted Grigs to go after a first round RB, and who then proclaimed themselves justified when TRich became a Colt.

I have no issue with the dollar cost of the trade, but the loss of the first round pick really hurts.

And then TRich severely underperformed. OUCH.

All that said, this argument is unbelievably stale. All the posturing on this thread is rediculous. I'm glad y'all feel like you need to have your say, but how many times do you have to (barely) rephrase the same argument before the horse is dead and buried?

Regardless of what any of you insist in this meaningless banter, we won't know what we'll see until it happens. My personal suspicion is that TRich will only be marginally better, and will be gone next offseason.

But I HOPE that between OLine improvements, his offseason of what I hope is his working his tail off, and some reasonable adjustments by Pep et. al., that the man is an absolute revelation next season.

That doesn't make any of you right or wrong. Until we see what we see.

I know... I'm waiting for the classic "if you don't like it don't read the thread" response, or the equally creative "it isn't against the rules so butt out".

You are, of course, entitled to write whatever you wish. Just as I'm entitled to check every once in a while to see if anything interesting is added (not so much lately). I'm simply asking people to accept a challenge to bring something new to the conversation, or at least avoid just saying the same thing over and over, ad infinitum.

Yes it is just an opinion indicated by the fact I wrote "IMO" (good job spotting the obvious); the same as most every post on this forum & and it also doesn't make it wrong.

You can't easily justify it.  The fact the you actually believe Grigson would repeat that trade if given the chance says all anyone needs to know about the credibility of your opinions.

I don't think the sky is falling, but I think it is probably the biggest mistake Grigson has made up to this point. I'll take Grigsons knowledge of the game as a player & scout & GM over a message board know it all any day .  Way to to fall back on one of the weakest and most cliche responses to any debate on the forum.   and at the very least prevented the team from making improvements and probably actually hurt the team.

Really ?  You can say this for certain based on what ? Your ability to have an opinion ? :headspin:

Reading comprehension???  I didn't say it was a fact or a certainty; notice I said "I think" twice ... so yes it is an opinion.  Whether you agree with it or not means nothing, but given your earlier complete loss of credibility I am perfectly happy with your opinion being the opposite of mine.

Yeah we could win the Superbowl & the trade would still be a mistake for you I get it .  Not trying to be clever just honest.

The fact that you can't seem to comprehend that the team can improve overall, (and yes potentially win a Superbowl) even though they made a mistake along the way further demonstrates the lack of credibility of your opinions.

I don't think you are really going to see new legitimate revelations to the argument until we see him play again (unless some crazy story were to break).  But, the argument will go on until then because all the draft coverage just pours fuel on the fire for everyone that already hated to trade and the fact we gave up a 1st round pick ... so they will come here to vent.

I have no issues with new posters adding their frustrations. I don't get the same posters saying the same thing in almost exactly the same way over and over and over and over and over...
