Kubiak officially fired

It'd be hilarious to find some of the posts you and Vance had when the Texans were sitting atop the division. Totally different tune now.

I assure you some comments may have been taunting (division rivals, duh) but a lot of it is ribbing. Your tune was different at this time last year as well when your team was vying for the wild card and even more different the year before. Things change, tunes change all the time. For all either of us knows the Titans fans will be laughing at both our teams next year lol.

still a much better team than luck has. Gragham is a pretty darn good te. Ben Tate could start for most teams in the league. His d is ranked higher right now than the colts d at any point throughout lucks career

Fair enough but he still has put up better numbers then Luck did his first 7 games, Of course Im a Colts fan, I would love it if they went into a downward spiral, Im just saying Keenum has been alright for for his first 7 starts, not the bum some seem to be implying. Moving on from him could do alot more harm for them then good,

seemed to help Nick Foles

He started 6 games his rookie year, Obviously he is playing alot better now but I dont think watching Micheal Vick stink it up for 10 games has anything to do with that,  What helped Nick Foles was probably a combination of his ability to stay calm under pressure and maybe scheme change (Vick has been inconsistent with being calm under pressure his whole career) and his natural arm talent among his ability to read defenses better then Vick

Me too!! It's incredible PJ managed to turn one book into a second epic trilogy. Gotta save my money for that and TASM2 ASAP haha

PJ used to do some crazy gorey movies, one of the best ultra epic blood soaked zombie movies till this day is Brain Dead aka Dead Alive, I've seen it mutiple times. Still absolutely cheesy but hilarious watching it now.

Eh not really honestly. I saw that we would be two years removed from the division in 2011 after we sucked for luck. I knew that the Texans would eventually come down to Earth once Schaub got exposed. I just didn't think itd be this bad.

We are set at the games most important position for the next ten years while playing in a division that doesn't have a franchise QB on any of its teams currently. I like our chances.

Dead Alive, I've heard of that one but never seen it. I know Raimi did the Evil Dead series and I loved the campiness of those too. Who said action/fantasy directors can't do horrors (however cheesy) too?

Yes, you are right. Crazy thing is we may have Andrew, Teddy, and Johnny all in the South next year. A crazy thought, and we have to factor in Locker too, who was looking good before the injury bug struck. Your chances look good, yes, but a good offseason for us, the Titans, and with the way their defense has looked lately the Jaguars, things could get competitive again as soon as next season. But Rome wasn't built in a day so who knows though.

I like the direction they're going in with the villains. I loved the first one more than the originals too so I have a lot of faith in and excitement for this one.

Yep! I love the little easter egg of the Vulture wings, and Ock's arms in the cases at Oscorp. Sinister Six!

This has the potential to be Sony's version of the TDK trilogy in terms of epicness. And an interesting reversal of the Avengers in regards to the Sinister Six and what they'll be doing with Ock, Norman, and Harry/Goblin. Jamie Foxx is gonna blow everyone away too from what they've shown us so far. I'm giddier than a kid at the candy store! :yay:

What the hell is the point in not waiting until the season is over? Kubiak may be have been bad, but you're not playing for anything. Let the guy at least finish the season with his team.

This organization is terrible. Really slimy and sleazy. Grow up and act professional. They're never going to amount to anything with the terrible decisions they've made.

I think this season has been an epic and disastrous season that could go into the NFL books as the ultimate, epic fail - alongside the Oliers epic fail in Buffalo...except this was one that did not take place during one game, but almost an entire season. Kubiak was let go at the time he was fired because the owner wanted to put an end to the downward spiral. If anything would have improved in this game, Kubiak would still be here. The fact is that the Texans have become more undisciplined as a team - as the season goes along. Opposing QB threw for a hundred something yards. The Texans penalized for 177 yards. Swearinger's back-to-back major penalties and the coach still doesn't pull him. Poor play by almost everyone...the writing's been on the wall since we lost to the Rams.

BUT...

I believe the players have had enough of the system, Kubiak, Schaub and both of their antics. The pulling of Keenum twice served as a reminder that the coach really was not interested in the development of a young QB, as much as he was more concerned with saving both him and Schaub from the axe. The undisciplined, poor play is a result of the team giving up on the coach, and ultimately each other. The owner had no other choice than to end the suffering and stop the bleeding.

Yeah, when they were 2-14 I was here. Go try and find posts about me making fun of their team when they were that bad, you won't find any. Now that we are there they love rubbing it in, just shows the class of the fanbase I suppose.

Qwizboy and Vance have disappeared along with Kubiak.

No, they are both still here. They didn't join the FBI Witness Protection Program or anything like that. You make it sound like they inspired the Arnold Schwarzenegger film "Eraser" or something. Contrary to popular opinion, they have not sought refuge & seclusion elsewhere.

    • https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/rams-tried-to-trade-up-for-brock-bowers-then-byron-murphy   You seem to be right.
    • Read this this morning. Thought it was interesting    https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/indianapolis-colts/news/colts-rams-nfl-draft-trade-offer-revealed-rejected/be019bcd2ee81b6ffeb4656e     "This was the rejected trade offer from the Rams to the Colts in the first round:     Rams get: Nos. 15, 191   Colts get: Nos. 19, 99, 154   While that's the kind of deal Chris Ballard would be expected to take in the past, the Colts clearly had an eye for edge rusher Laiatu Latu.   It's clear that it would have taken much more in the offer for the Colts to move off the chance of selecting the prospect they believe was the best defender in the entire draft.   There were a few viable prospects available at the time so it would have made sense for the Colts to trade back.   But this only proves how convicted they were in draft Latu."     Not too surprised we turnt that down as it has us losing on the draft chart by a little bit, but does show the conviction they had in Latu.
    • Offense wins in the league now and to take it a step further the QB is by far the lost important piece on any team.    So, on offense you need the best possible QB with the best possible supporting cast and on defense you need players who can affect the play of the opposing QBs directly.
    • This is definitely an issue. So, either Ballard is A.) Cheap and he doesn't want to spend money on FAs (even with injuries happening) or B.) He can't build a competitive enough team to attract any worthwhile FA's after 7 going on 8 years now.    If AR and the current team can't attract FAs that could theoretically get a starting job at the S position for a year, then we are in big trouble according to the opinions of the players of the NFL. Personally, I think Ballard just avoids FA so much that he doesn't want to bring outside help in. He wants to be known as the GM who builds his team from the draft.   Wish the local media would call him out on this.
    • I think the Colts have the money to be competitive for a good free agent safety.  I think bringing in one of them may depend on whether a player like Simmons wants to play for the Colts.  They may be hoping to sign for a team with a better chance of making the playoffs.   So I don’t know if Ballard is making a statement or not?     Hope my answer makes sense to you….
