OLD FAN MAN

Answering to the OP -- New schemes... and you know this how? I don't think they allow fans at practices. Anyways what are they working on? As a Colts fan, I want the Colts to win every week for the rest of my life, but the fact of the matter is they can't. You have to be realistic, we can't beat a number 2 defense, plus a great offense. They're the most underrated team this year. Everyone thinks they're crap, but they're not. We lost a 17 point lead to the Chiefs, of all teams. This year is going nowhere. You have to realize that, and BTW does schemes you were talking about probably won't help our injury ravaged pitiful defense.

Hey Andy, Jim is stealing your thunder.

You are now the #2 poster on this board.

All HAIL Jim!

Jim, please enlighten us on what you have to say about these defensive changes now that there is 2:20 left in the 3rd and we're down 13 points...When you make a statement such as this you have every right to be burnt like a crisp.

The Colts are truly a collection of has been, never was, untalented draft picks and free agents that could not make a good college team. We have the dumbest DC and the most clueless HC in the league. Caldwell is so used to losing from his Wake Forest days that he easily accepts defeat and hope that it is God's will that he is such a Mod Edit for masked cursing bad coach. Polian will blame (insert in the blank) excuse for losing and Irsay will tweet some nonsense about Mellencamp instead of addressing yet another team failure.

We without a doubt have the worst organization, personnel department, and team in the NFL.

Yea, ok.

That explains the last 10 years PERFECTLY.

I guess the team has just been lucky, huh?

Nice use of the words "God" and "the F word" in the same sentence. Classy dude.

Some of you people are taking Jim too seriously. He is simply making fun of the nonsense that Caldwell spews out every week in his press conference's and added a little twist by always saying "my guy". It's kind of funny IMO.

I'm not taking him seriously at all. I would just like to hear his explanation after this game. Maybe next time not make such an assumption :2c:

Some people offer solutions, some just fuel the fire.

I prefer the former, not the latter.

Personally, I don't find it at all amusing.

Its like the guy who stands in the background and helps to start problems. Then, when the fight actually breaks out, they run away like a little girl.

Are you kidding me? Offer solutions??? Are we at all ever going to influence anything the Colts do? Jim is doing nothing that is detrimental to the forum, just trying to offer a little humor to an otherwise disgusting season.

Yea, offer solutions.

What good is making fun of "our" team gonna do?

And I didn't mean Jim really, I meant some of the other "whacko" comments on here.

If you don't like the team, find another "temporary" favorite team. But there is NO REASON to kick a guy when he's down. That just shows a weak character of a man.

And I don't mean "you" as YOU personally, I mean "you" as anyone in general.

I'm just waiting for the complaints from the "Lucksters" if we win this game.

    • The criteria is the Colts want to keep you but you’re a fringe player. It all comes down to how much the Colts like your nephew. He could surprise and if he does they may not want to put him on the PS out of fear of losing him to another team. The good thing is the Colts love their oline players, and will keep lower level draft picks/UDFA lineman over other positions. There’s quite a few later round guys the colts have kept on that have shown to be pretty good level guys with bright futures.    there’s not really any criteria for being signed to the PS other than they want to see how much better a guy can get over there.    most of the time, an older guy is either ineligible for the PS because of how many games he’s started, or it’s not worth it because you see what the guy is over what he can become (as he’s been in the league a while).   odds are the younger guy gets signed to the ps over the older guy.
    • Remember all those years we watched Mannings fluttering passes downfield? 100 Int's even over his 1st 5 seasons. Not counting many Playoff interception disasters.  No flutters for AR ! Just less closing time for the D.
    • I just read the article on Stampede Blue.  It’s an old clip of him dunking.     I’m pretty sure they told him not to do that during this time.  He did say he’d be throwing with the guys.
    • I am always impressed with the knowledge on this forum so I thought I would ask a question about the practice squad as opposed to trying to figure it out on my own.   We have a UDFA Dalton Tucker on the OL (Guard Tackle) Currently listed as 3rd team behind Q and Stills. He is my nephew-in-law and a great young man. He is a good OL with a lot of flexibility or otherwise the Colts would not have signed him. However would be a very long shot to make the team at this time due to the returning player and two OL draft picks.  The question is how many OL do we normally keep on the Practice Squad and what are the criteria? In all my years of following the Colts have just not paid attention to the details. If it came down to Stills or Dalton for the PS is Stills or Pinter eligible and would you put a more veteran player on the PS or would you prefer a younger player assuming you thought he could develop? Pay-wise do all PS players get the same? I also understand that PS players attend home games on the sidelines and practice with the team since they are designated as practice squad. Any information is appreciated as I will be following this aspect a lot closer this fall.
    • I thought he said he wasn’t going to play BB?  How old is that video?
