Hmmm. I had no idea that he was still playing. Living in the NY market, I couldn't stand his obnoxious brother. Fortunately they stopped relentlessly beating on the "miracle" of twin brothers playing football when Tiki retired.

Only reason I knew he wasn't retired was because there was news of his brother, Tiki Barber, (also a football analyst for Yahoo) trying to come out of retirement to play in the NFL again. Obviously, that never worked out for him.

Absolutely right House! Ronde Barber was such a smart, hard hitting, & naturally gifted CB & safety that played well for so many years in this league. His NFL durability was amazing! I'm glad he won a ring with Gruden in 2002 as well. A very nice career.

First NFL Jersey I ever owned was a Ronde Barber jersey.  What a great player for the Bucs. Thanks for the memories, #20!

I'm surprised by the news.  He's still a solid player and they revamped their secondary.  I thought he would come back for one more run.  Though, at the age of 38, it makes sense

Definitely a HOFer, probably a first ballot too I bet. 

 

Barber made the Tampa 2 great with him, Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, and Simeon Rice.
