Colts select montori Hughes -- traded 2014 4th rounder

Hughes is super talented, but has tons of off the field issues. 

 

He has good size and athleticism, but again off the field stuff hurt his stock by 1 or 2 rounds.

 

The Colts traded up to get him. Don't know the details yet.

I agree with you.  Had he stayed at Tennessee, any SEC school, he would have been drafted higher.  Good value at the spot, and giving up a fourth next year doesn't scare me away.  The concern is obviously character, maturity, etc.  He couldn't keep it together at Tenn, so we hope that is all behind him.

why Bjeorn Werner gives us a pass rusher, but I guess we don't need to rush the passer, we got Hugh Thorton and Khaled Holmes, but I guess we don't need to protect Luck, and we got Montori Hughes, who you don't know about, so he automatically is a bad pick

Not at all, especially in a 3-4. Athletic guys at his size  can certainly play DE. Ngata did under Pagano, Red Bryant does in a 4-3 in Seattle.
