No i think we would have still taken Werner the pick came in within 30 secs. NFL Network made Floyd look better then what he was Werner was the pick from the start.

I would think pass rusher would be rated higher than DLineman, so no I don't think Floyd would have been picked had he been there.

I've heard that Floyd wouldn't fit our defense that well (he is more fit to a 4-3 DT, but I guess he might possibly be able to play at 3-4 DE).  But our pick was in very quickly.  I think Grigs and Pagano had their eye on Werner and wanted to take him

That probably was him and that other guy laughing at the Cowboys pick . That's what you call drafting for a need so they took their highest rated center

It really wasn't a bad pick. It was a bad pick at that spot, IMO.

The Cowboys claimed they only had something like 19 guys on their board with first round grades. So instead of taking one of them they trade out so they get none of them and more of the lower rated guys.

That kind of logic ensures mediocrity. Maybe they're good with that.

Frederick is one of the better lineman, but he could've been picked way after 29th, that was just them pressing for a need

Hopefully not.  Interior DL isn't nearly as big of a need as pass rusher or OL.  Although, I guess I wouldn't have minded if we took Rhodes or Lacy at that spot either.
