-Reply the big TD to Collins to * off the secondary

 

-Reply that stupid annoy Texans drive that converted two third and longs

 

--Reply the 4th down

 

-Bring up every media story about the Texans being crowned.

 

I want this team coming into this game mad, * off, and with an edge.

agreed, I want the game to be nasty.  The best way to deflate a team that thinks it’s their year is by punching them right in the mouth.

Of course we know what you meant.  It’s just a funny expression, and in a way it’s meaningless.  The players never shut up while they’re playing.  Neither do the fans. 
 

There are so many meaningless things we say that are just funny when you think about it.  “We have to give 110%…”.  Thats impossible, the most you cam give is 100%.   Many more idioms like that in the sports world.
