I’d definitely get my DT in the first over the wr. If Eason or Love is there at #2 I’d get that there as well unless we pull a FA QB trick then you grab your WR with that 2nd. Like the OT pick up near the top as well. After the 2nd rd, good luck imho.

Pretty good effort for a first mock. Like @Shive said, Wilson is going back to school and the TE will probably go around round 2 at this point. Solid otherwise.

You forgot o durable RB on your list

I was going to switch Highsmith with Edwards Helaire. I didn’t even know Marvin Wilson was going back to school.

In that case, Derrick Brown at 13, Jordan Love at 34 and Justin Jefferson at 45.

We need a DT with our first pick.  I don't care if they move up, they need to get one and badly. I would love our 1st 3 picks as 2 DT's and  a wr.  Trust me. They are going to surround Brissett and give him another go.  I think Fromm is the best qb outside of Burrows.  I just dont think the Colts are enamored with this class.  It Kind of reminds me of the year Mayfield was drafted.

Brown will be a top 5-7 pick, we could trade up, but it would cost us the Redskins #2 and a 4th at least. He really is worth it though..

The Colts aren't enamored with this years class of qb's? Do you suppose that's why they made sure they kept Kelly on the 53?

Great question

The Colts holding onto Kelly is interesting to me.

If you have no plans for the kid, why keep him?

Going into 2020

I would open up the competition in camp for QB

I think if you dont have a FA QB brought in, you have to bring in a rookie to develop for later.

There are a few QBs that will be available from our 1st pick thru 5th round. that need more time to develop.

I would let JB, CK, and the rookie compete for the starting spot

I would cut Hoyer immediately

Let the best man win

If CK is getting a fair competition, Im not sure how JB beats him out

(If CK practices like he plays against other teams 2nd stringers)

If a rookie beats them BOTH out he needs to start.... day one

If CK cant beat out the rookie AND JB..... you cut him. (or try to play the PS game again)

Derrick brown would be just what the DR ordered.

He MAY still be there at 13

For this draft, Im starting to think that the only trade up would be for the QB of the future.

There will be some excellent players available at 13, in positions of dire need, withour having to give up huge draft capitol

OT, WR, QB, DT.......... are all huge needs for this team.... BPA may be the way to go and let the draft come to us

We have 3 picks in the first 45 picks...... a great place to be

Yes, Ballard should be able to hit it big again this year just 2018(Nelson, Leonard, Smith) I really should put Turay there also because he was really coming on this year before he broke his ankle. I also think last years draft was better than some people give him credit for. Ya-Sin, Willis, and Okereke are way above solid, Banagu, Campbell, Speed, and Tell, are going to be major contributors next year. Ballard has done a great job maneuvering around the draft to acquire more picks while at the same time finding quality players.
