Simms & Lefkoe: The ultimate Quenton Nelson interview

Quenton is famous for not liking giving interviews and not many people get a lot out of him. I think this is the best interview he's ever given with most information he's disclosed and most personality he's shown. Props to Simms and Lefkoe...

- how the Colts faked him in the pre-draft process - no visit, not private workout, very short interview, etc.

That was really good I enjoyed it. Really like his humbleness and think that's going to push him so much further. Great fricken rookie season. Can't wait to see this guy develope. Scary thought for the rest of the NFL

Good listen. Don't like being picky, but it would have been nice if Lefkoe pronounced his name correctly. It's Quenton, NOT Quinton!

Interesting.  I wonder if he would feel the same way if he played him later in the season when he had more experience.  I thought he would have said Reid.

Good to see him coming out of his shell a bit more. Wish it was a bit more of a serious interview though, the "how much do you eat" questions for a lineman are a bit obvious and boring.

 

Loved when they got into football chat though.

 

Lefkoe saying OROY was between Q, Saquon and Johnny Manziel was a joke

It was good to see him chat it up a bit...like the OP said, this is probably the most we've heard him talk.  He's very humble and has great respect for his peers on other teams.

 

Someday (if not already in some cases) opposing DL will look at the schedule and say, Oh, crap they have Big Q.

1. Jim Irsay is the type of owner you want to have. Cares about the team and winning.

2. Andrew Luck giving nerdy bus tours. :’) 

3. 342 LBS?! That’s a lot of human.

4. Q’s surprise at being drafted 6 by the Colts.

5. He said more than 10 words.

6. His comments about Geno Atkins and NFL level talent.

Nice, fun listen. That could end up being the longest interview of his career lol.

Also, first time I've heard Big Q mention his back troubles himself after Baldy brought up the two bulging discs the other day. Which really, all Nelson said was his back hurt real bad playing against Geno Atkins, but still.
