Wow!      Just.......    WOW!!

So impressive!        As someone who has done something similar to ths every year since I joined,  I know how much work you put into this.    Yes,  I know!     Couldn't be more impressed!

And,  it looks like you're going to do several of these,  so let me say thanks in advance!

These are very much appreciated.

Me?    I doubt I'm going to do it this year.    Way too much craziness out here this year.   Will have to take a pass.    So, seeing that you're doing this makes me feel good for everyone here.    You know youre stuff and I'm delighted that you're sharing with the rest of us.

Looking forward to future editions....    this will be fun to watch!

Nice job Blueshoe! You are the top draft guru on this board. I remember your strong views on Darius Leonard after the draft and how right you were. I'll back you up this year as well. Good initial work!

Out of curiosity, where would you put Kyler Murray now that he has declared for the draft?

That's tough. He is a 5'10" (some say much smaller and we will see) quarterback. He will probably end up in my top 100. Obviously there are some GMs out there who gave him a good draft grade, or he would not want to enter the NFL draft. He would just stick with baseball. Someone is in his ear telling him to go the route of the NFL.

I currently have him ranked 161, and right now that is where I would take him. Somewhere in the 5th round. He will go much higher. This is going to be one of those deals where my board does not view him as highly as the team that drafts him.

13. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
24. Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
31. Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
36. Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
57. Ryan Finley, QB, NC State
89. Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn
97. Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
137. Gardner Minshew II, QB, Washington State
161. Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
170. Brett Rypien, QB, Boise State
185. Trace McSorley, QB, Penn State
211. Nick Fitzgerald, QB, Mississippi State
216. Kyle Kempt, QB, Iowa State
217. Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota State
227. Jake Browning, QB, Washington
236. Jordan Ta'amu, QB, Ole Miss

Thanks for this. The guy I really like is Johnathan Abram. He seems like a perfect replacement for Geathers if he is not brought back. Fast, hard hitter, and fits this defense.

My pleasure.

Yeah. Abram is a hard hitter. He also has good coverage skills for a strong safety. Granted he does have feet for hands, but in deep coverage he gets in good position and deflects the ball well. He is one of the better safety prospects in this draft.

Thanks, I agree that he is hard to rank, if he were a few inches taller he would be a high first round pick, imo.  He may end up being taken in the first round anyway, interesting prospect.

An I missing him or is Riley Ridley not in your top 100. If we get him with a later pick I would be so happy

I have Riley Ridley just on the outside of the top 100 at 105. He is certainly a player who could move up my board during the draft season.

I just think you have Hakeem Butler a tad too low, IMO. He is a Top 40 prospect, IMO.  I have a hard time thinking he will go past the middle of the second round. His body control is amazing, every time I watch him. He seems to play faster than he is and covers a lot of ground with those long strides, it feels like.

Note to self. Watch more tape on Hakeem Butler. I’ll take a longer look and get back to you.

Do you think Tyre Brady from Marshall will get drafted?

There is an outside chance. I currently have him ranked somewhere between a 7th rounder to a UDFA. The process is still early though.

The good news is; he is heading to the Senior Bowl, so he will have a great opportunity to impress everyone. A lot of players have moved way up the draft boards at the Senior Bowl.

Thanks for sharing your big board. It's always fun and interesting to see how someone else sees prospects!

So you don't think very highly of Murray as a prospect due to his size I take it? 5th round grade is very interesting.

Hakeem Butler reminds me a lot of Alshon Jeffery, who also went in the middle of round 2.

I think he could be better than Jeffery

I like the way that he man-handles the CBs that try to tackle him

I think he could be a star

Like I said, I expect him to move up on my board.... Just not as high as the board of the team that drafts him. He will probably get drafted in the first round. I don't think he will be that high on my board. Will he go high in my mocks? Probably... But that's not indicative of what kind of player that I think he will be. It's more of how I think a particular team might view him.

He will probably settle in on my final board as a second or third round pick.

This is all still early in the process and up until the past week, we did not even know he would decide to play football. I am still not convinced that he will choose football. He might be using this as a negotiating tactic to get more money from baseball.
