We needed that game.   Hopefully we can turn it around.

My prediction is losing 2-4.

This may have been our chance....we held them to 84......

We didn't get as much from Myles and Sabonis as we usually do and I think that changes..

I think we win game two

It reminded me of a 90's playoff game. Remember when Utah beat Jordan's Bulls in Game 4 of the Finals 78-73. Both teams play great defense, problem with us we do not have our playmaker. I can't wait for next year when we have Oladipo back. I truly believe we are better than Boston if he was healthy. They are lucky he isn't healthy. They caught a huge break.

True. We were the team that everybody said they wanted to play.

But we wont shoot 12 of 21 from the line again and we wont shoot 6 of 27 on 3s again.

We scored 74 points on 84 shots

McDermott (1 of 7) looked like he was scared to death

But we need some anger. They pushed us around

Here's where we miss Lance..  Matthews has to take more than 8 shots..and we must set harder screens to get Jaylen Brown off Bogdonavic. Knock somebody down. Fouls wont be called....we have to take our physical nature to another level.

With 2 1/2 days rest....I actually like our chances in Game two

Yeah I miss Lance because he brought toughness to the team. We have to win Game 2 or the series is toast. I know teams have come back from 0-2 but it is rare.

Warriors were up 94-63 over the Clippers and lost 135-131. That is why they play the games! The 31 point comeback by the Clippers is the largest in NBA playoff history. Series is now 1-1.

I have never seen anything like that../..

…..I don't think GSW is going to lose the series because ...well...they were up 31....

But it was going to be a sweep and now it might be 6 or 7 games

Yeah that was unreal. To have that happen to the Warriors was just mindboggling. If the Clippers win Game 3, who knows?

Did we ever have a chance to get Lou Williams?

I just asking because I dont know if Ive ever seen anyone stop him.

I know he cant play 35-40 minutes…..that's why he doesn't start, I'd guess

But you can be in a close game at the end with him out there

What worries me from last night?

Look at the scores 145-123......135-131.....

We do not have that kind of firepower..on our best night.

After the playoffs are over, we've got to see about shooters and shot creators.

Cousins is out for the playoffs as well. Last season they at least had McGee who played well. Teams may take to them by going inside now.

They were shrewd to pick up Andrew Bogut....He knows them. He wont hurt them

The Lakers signed him 3 years ago when he was a free agent but traded him to Houston to free up cap space. Houston then traded him for Chris Paul is why he is on the Clippers. He may be the most underrated player I have seen in years. He is solid good and a great scorer.

Problem with Bogut is, he is injury prone now. If he can give them a good 10 minutes a game then that pick up will pay off.

They don't need much more than that because Draymond is playing center late in games anyway...especially when (I guess I should say if) they play Houston

Imagine if we had Oladipo and Walker together. That is 2 guys that can create off the dribble then Bogey could just go back to drilling 3's and getting his easy 15 points.

You are right. That's the arguement for getting Kemba Walker...no matter what he costs..

We have a 'window'    2 more years with Vic at his present rate..

We'd have to let Collison and Evans and Cory Joseph all go...3 guards

...but we'd have Aaron Holiday and Edmund Sumner and

….and Walker and Vic would be playing 30-35 minutes a night each anyway

Kinda like Chris Paul and James harden on Houston.

..after 2 years of being the 5th seed and winning 48 games......

...we might want to sign a big check and take a chance

Yep, if I am Indy I go for Walker and make a run at it next season. I would say goodbye to Collison and Evans. If we had Oladipo, Walker, Bogey, and Turner, that is firepower. I think with Walker on the team Turner's game would be better because Walker's penetration would open things up. Oladipo and Walker both would average 20 a game and Bogey and Turner would be around 15 a piece getting easier looks.

and we'd still have a bench of Sabonis (at low pay one more year) and McDermott and Leaf  with Holiday with Sumner..

...The hard part would be getting Kemba to choose us over a half dozen other  teams

Yeah we have to sell it to him and show him how nice and laid back Indianapolis is. Also Walker knows we have a good team that has great chemistry, that is another selling point.

Vic has to give him a call..

Didn't Kemba play with Lance in Charlotte?

Hey, Larry Bird can call him......

I can see Lance being back in Indy next season if all else fails. I do not see him returning to LA.

Absolutely.....Magic isn't there....Luke is gone.

..and LeBron now knows (he should have known) he needs shooters.

I would not be shocked to see Lance in the stands in Indianapolis Friday night

Lance just belongs here. He plays much better in a Pacers uniform than any other, why I have no idea but he does :funny:

down 52-50 at the half,,,Kyrie has 18....they are shooting 52%\

Myles has 3..Sabonis has 1....a combined 4 shots

Boston has defensed Sabonis well

We are playing small tonight keeping the lane clean. Boston has played good D on Sabonis but I feel like Donas has done other things well tonight. Turner has stepped up the D here in the 3rd

Good 3rd for us. Kyrie is feeling it and he may get 40. He can score against good D and that’s ok. We have to keep the other guys in check.

I think that's our window to winning.

Make it Kyrie against the world.

I'm worried that they have nuetralized Sabonis and Turner

They average 27 a game

82-78 with 8:00 to go

We let them back in with Kyrie on the bench by giving up offensive rebounds letting them get to the front of the rim and missing free throws beating ourselves

    • I think he still will, it's just a matter of time.
    • I think it's the sophomore class that I am really following this year and see how well these young men continue to grow.    DI: Mason Graham, Michigan (Sophomore) highest-graded true freshman IDL in the country in 2022 with an 80.3 grade.  2023 PFF TOW 2 honors   SS: Jaden Hicks, Washington State (Sophomore) – 2023 PFF TOW 2 honors   RB Quinshon Judkins (Ole Miss) Sophomore 2022 PFF TOW 9 honors had 14 broken tackles against Texas A&M, 5 breakaway runs of 15+ yards in company with likes of Derick Henry, Alvin Kamara and Chuba Hubbard.  Judkins came to Ole Miss as just a three-star recruit but, like Will Johnson at No. 21, dominated in Year 1.  He ranked in the top 10 in college football in rushing yards (1,567), rushing touchdowns (16), yards after contact (929) and forced missed tackles (76). Has a 74.6 RB grade and an 88.0 PB grade week 7.  To-date has an 83.5 PB grade 5th best among Power 5 tackle.  2022 PFF TOW 4 offensive POW and earned TOW 6 and 7 honors   NT/IDL Deone Walker (Kentucky) Sophomore – in 2022 as a true freshman finished 3rd among SEC IDL with an 80.9 pass-rushing grade.  6’6” 330 LB at 19 yo beat O’Cyrus Torrence.   Edge Mykel Williams (Georgia) Sophomore 5th best returning edge defenders in college football.  Williams has a 75.9 run-defense grade ranked 4th among SEC edge defenders and led all FBS true freshman edge defenders.  His 6 sacks tied for the most among all true freshman in the country while his 33 pressures were tied for 2nd most.  Williams is a future first round pick.   WLB Abdul Carter (PSU) Sophomore freshman 56 tot, 6.5 sacks, 2 FF and 4 PDs   LCB Will Johnson (Michigan) Sophomore – as a true freshman led all corners in the Power 5 with a 91.1 grade in man coverage.  Johnson’s 2 INTs in man tied 5th same group in 2022.   IDL Dontay Corleone (Cincy) Sophomore – mid-way through 2022 he was 4th nationally with a 91.5 PFF grade making Ivan Pace Jr job on the field easier.  After 10 weeks Corleone has 41 TOT, 3 sacks, 1 FF, and 1 FR.  Freshman 93.9 DEF, 94.8 RDEF, 82.5 PRUSH, 61.8 COV.  led all FBS defenders with a 93.8 grade. • Coleman transferred from Michigan State.  Agree he has showed strong hands making several tough catches in traffic and has impressive speed for his size.  Not sure we need another WR-Z like Alec Pierce who is signed until 2025.    Some other players have been interested in are:   RG Justin Osborne, SMU – best in zone, gap or man schemes – PFF early honorable mention before the season for the ACC.  Earned 2023 PFF TOW 1 honors.   LG Wesley Ndago, Air Force – PFF TOW 1 and 4 – 2023.   TE Benjamin Yurosek, Stanford - Displayed athletic ability making several tough catches.    SS Tyler Nubin, Minnesota - Got two top traits, football IQ and impressive ball production.  Versus Nebraska he had 2 picks earning PFF TOW 1 honors in 2023.   Edge Kaimon Rucker, North Carolina Tar Heels – 2022 PFF TOW 0 honors.  Rucker became first Tar Heel in 10-years to be named the Walker Camp Defensive Player of the Week.  Versus South Carolina he had 5.5 TFLs and 2 sacks.    LCB Josh Newton (TCU) - solid QB passer ratings, 56.4 in 2022 and 86.2 in 2021  LCB D.J. James (Auburn) - solid QB passer ratings, 61.3 in 2022 and 64.9 in 2021
    • stafford has a very quick release, dont know if we can pressure him
    • I agree that AR is our guy, that's obviously why we drafted him, lol.  Minshew performed as well, and better than many of the starters I've seen, so far in the first 2 games this season.  I think if AR can stay healthy, we are set at the QB position for a long time, but after today's game, I am comfortable with Minshew coming in.
