Yeah that is huge! We have a 2 game cushion despite the bad road trip.

up 54-45 at the half at OKC..

Good pace..just 5 turnovers..Myles with 13 rebounds

Good, slow pace...so far, so good

But OKC makes a lot of late second half runs

This would be a huge win if we can hold it. We need that 4 seed and HCA.

Yeah, this is not a game that, on paper, we win

Yeah it is very quiet. Usually it is loud like Utah and Portland.

down 88-79.....with 7:30 left...

WE need a lot of late offense from someone other than Bogdonavic..not our strength

The announcers seem bored

107-99  loss..

Its funny..coaches talk about playing defense and getting stops...

We play it and we get 'em but we just dont have the offense the other playoff team do.

Bogdonavic had 29 against Paul George, who had 31.

But we shot 43% and that's not often good enough

45-30....and on to Boston (44-31)

I am wondering why we go in such cold spurts, same thing happened in Philly.

down 63-60 at Boston at the half.

Good offensive game for both sides   Boston shooting 51%...with nine 3s

Bogdonavic has 18...TJ Leaf with 10 off the bench

Bad foul shooting has us behind

up 91-89 after 3Qs....

One of our better offensive road games of the season...50% shooting..50% on 3s

But they're shooting 53%

Its winnable...…...evenly matched teams

We desperately need a new starting and backup point guard next year.

We fought hard but we are destined to be the 5th seed with Oladipo going out for the year. Sucks that Thad missed that easy layup that would have put us up by two though.

At least we showed that we can match with the Celtics on the road because we are going to have to if we want any shot at winning this playoff series. It's pretty impressive how close this game was with all the talent the Celtics have.

114-112....we had a defensive breakdown at the end and Kyrie scored the winner.

That's a tough loss...but they shot but we had the ball in a tie game and Collison couldn't make the shot

I thought Bogdonavic couldn't move well after that Celtic guy stepped on his ankle.

But yeah, we play so hard and come up just short..

….Kyrie kills their offense sometimes but he made the play at the end.

Pacers (45-31), Celtics (45-31) with 6 games to go.

They play the Nets Saturday..we play Orlando.

There's a chance to get that 4th spot back

Ten straight road losses. Of course, we deserve the 5th seed. Pathetic.

I thought Myles made a mistake running away from Kyrie to cover Al Horford.

Inside 5 seconds.....you double cover Kyrie and live with someone else shooting

There is still a chance. We play the Celtics again next Friday in Indiana. It could all ride on that game depending on if we can handle business in our next 3 games against the Pistons twice and Orlando.

Still a shot for that 4th seed.    10 road losses in a row is bad.

The majority of those losses are without either Sabonis or Collison..

We just cant afford to lose anybody else......for any period of time

Along those lines...I'm worried..No word about Bogdonavic..after his ankle got stomped got stepped on last night in Boston..

I understand that, but 10 in a row is still telling.

We can be a tough out, but I think the ceiling is winning the 1st round playoff series.   Probably not that if we are the 5th seed.

Nice job Pacers.   You continue to put a competitive team on the floor every season.

In reality till Simon spends the money on a big name player the chances of the Pacers getting past the 2nd round are slim.

I hate not having a hard cap but when the owner refuses to pay the NBA there is nothing to do but be what we have been since joining the NBA.

this is 100% the truth and it's so sad to know year in and year out we really have no shot at a title cause of the terrible way the league is set up

121-116.....we didn't stop them much ,.they shot 51%

3rd time Orlando has beaten us this year, right

We had seven players in double figures but we didn't stop any body

45-32......tied with Boston with 5 games to go

Back-to-backs with Detroit coming..

We looked tired tonight

Knew there was a chance we lost tonight on a back-to-back. Was hoping the home crowd would lift us up.

I think we should just concede to the 5th seed and rest some of our guys for the Celtics series.

    • LOL. I'm not saying college is comp to NFL. What I am saying is if you're trying to gauge his ability to play vs tougher  or elite competition, Bama's D was tops in college for many of those years. I'm not saying his O in college could compete with NFL teams. I'm saying Bama had some of the best talent in college, and for instance, that would translate into increased pressure, tighter windows, etc....   And HS to College really isn't a good comp either. I played for a HS that won state twice while I was there. I had no delusions of them competing against a college team. I might take LSU or OSU over the Bengals this year though lol.
    • This mischaracterizes the issue in its entirety.  Just because it takes a long time for QBs to find generational talents at QB is not a reason they shouldn't try to get better at the position if the team doesn't have a generational talent at QB.  Bill Belichick has had Brady for the past 20 years and he's still drafted a QB every other year.  In the past 10 years, he's drafted 3 QBs in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.     It seems as though what you have in mind is teams selling the farm to trade up and take the #1 QB in the class at #1.  There are so many other viable ways ot get franchise QBs better than the one we have.  If we used a 2nd or 3rd on a QB, could it be the next Drew Brees or Russel Wilson?  Maybe.  But even if it's not and he sits a year and then ends up being better than Brissett, that's a win.  We can try again in another year or two.  You should always try to improve your roster and add valuable depth, no matter what the position is.     Yeah, we have a mediocre QB.  We should still be using higher draft capital and perhaps trading up in cases where it makes sense.
    • At least he would add to the running game.  But still, no thanks. I'll take our chances in the draft.
    • I bet Irsay is already working on the paperwork to rename Lucas Oil to Okereke Stadium.   This thread title nominated for hottest take of the year.
    • My own experiences in the world of football are what make it really hard for me to accept any sort of comp like this... If youll allow me to be "that guy" for a moment to explain...   I was a part of a 4 time repeating 5A state championship IHSAA program... technically only 3 of those... the first one was when I was in 8th grade lol...   But Ill use the last of the 4 peat teams- 2007- as my example...   That team was LOADED with D1 NCAA talent... there were more than 12 players that signed day 1 of national signing day...   I figured that, that team would stack up, and beat, most college teams...   After graduating HS, I went to be an on scholarship coach at a prominent NAIA school in the state...   Day 1 of Spring Training Observations...   This small, NAIA school... would WIPE THE FLOOR with my old HS teams... even if taking just the best players from each year to make 1 team... The NAIA school still wins. No question...   Now thats just NAIA... D2 and D1 schools made my NAIA school look like my old HS teams...   ...   So I get it... Bama is a huge program that gets many players ready to produce at the NFL level...   But there is still a jump up the ladder in comp...    And college success DOES NOT AT ALL mean that an individual player is a lock to ball out because of what they did at the level below...   TED talk is over... Thank you for listening    Edit to add clarity... I know you said may not translate not will translate... so please dont think the end of my ted talk is implying you said something you did not lol
