Dustin
Shelton falling to 29? I'd club a baby seal for that to happen. I've mocked him high a few times, but I really think he won't go as early as people are predicting. He plays a position where he'll play about 40% of his teams snaps, he's basically a 2-down run stuffer with not much pass rush upside, and he's a below average athlete. I think even by chance he gets out of the top 15, he wont make it past the Browns at 19, they were worse at stopping the run than the Colts were. But then again the Browns do make some head scratching decisions.
RealityIsLuck
No way Sheltons there at 29... major stretch. If Chicago passses at 7....Cleveland at 12 is an option....49ers at 15 are an option....Texans at 16 are an option....Chargers at 17 are an option....Browns again at 19 are an option....Steelers at 22 are an option....Lions at 23 are an option....Cardinals at 24 are an option....Ravens at 26 are an option....Cowboys at 27 are an option....Broncos at 28 are an option.. Way too many options for him to fall that far. I can't even imagine any scenario where he falls to 29.

I agree with some of those possibilities butSF aren't taking a NT they need CB, WRSteelers need to refresh his secondary too,Lions is a mayor option but i think they don't use a NT like Danny,Cardinals if Danny felt that far they are gonna take him,Ravens they could but they have Tim Jernigan,Cowboys like Cardinals would take him on a heart beat but if they don't get AP they are gonna take a RB,Broncos like Cards, I think Danny is gonna be a top 15 pick but i still think that a scenario where he fell to us isn't that crazy. Two picks jump out to me as extremely not likely. Danny Shelton falling all the way to the Colts. I simply do not see it, but would be beyond thrilled if he did. The Colts should rush the pick to the commissioner. And Danielle Hunter I think not only does not go in the 1st round, I'm not sure he goes in the 2nd. I see very little momentum for him this high. I think he had two and a half sacks last year? And now that I think about it, am I NOT seeing Arik Armstead in your first round? Have you changed your view on him or accidentally left him off? I think he belongs there, even if I'm not a huge fan. Don't see 32 picks going by without him being drafted. Otherwise, really good job.... I explained Shelton falling in my post above, just in case you didn't see it. As for Hunter, there are a few mocks that have him as a borderline first (CBS for example has him ranked 50th, Josh Norris of NBC has him going in round 1). I think a team is going to bite on that elite athleticism. My opinion hasn't changed on Armstead, he just just falls a little bit, to no fault of his won. That Guy
Don't you dare start getting my hopes up for Danny Shelton! How did Washington ever give up 52 points to a FCS team (Eastern Washington)? Danny Shelton, Hau'Oli Kikaha, Shaq Thompson; they're all going to go fairly high for a PAC-12 team that stays fairly mediocre (not to mention Marcus Peters). I'd even be happy getting John Timu late in the draft (he could do a lot better than people are expecting).

COLTS449
Wow. If we could get Danny Shelton at 29. Just wow. That alone would almost make this draft a success. Then we could turn around and get a safety like Tartt, Rowe, or Smith in the 2nd.

Patriots - Byron Jones, CB/S, UconnI'd be delighted to see Shelton on the board at #29, Dustin....but I just don't see him escaping both Cleveland 1st round selections, sandwiched around the Chargers at #17....or at worst....the Steelers at #22. And his limited pass rush tools may be a concern now....but let me offer the following pre-draft assessment of Haloti Ngata from his draft year.... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/historical/417708 the link is his full forecast but here's an excerpt questioning Ngata's pass rushing skills.... "As a pass rusher, he gets some push, but does not generate a quick swim move. As a bull rusher, he simply destroys offensive guards and centers in his path. He can mash the pocket with good power, but even with his timed speed, he will labor when having to chase into the second level. He keeps his feet moving through traffic in attempts to penetrate and shows natural hand usage to defeat combo blocks. However, he can get a bit top heavy, resulting in him lunging and overextending at times (mostly in backside pursuit)." Obviously....we're talking about two different guys, but the characteristics and strengths of their game are aimed at the same purpose, stuffing the run and disrupting the pocket so others can kill the play. We know what Ngata has done and Shelton's strengths appear to be similar. Again....I hope you're right and I'm wrong, and he falls to us at #29....and if he does I'll be the first one to congratulate you. But guys like Shelton don't grow on trees and IMO one of the teams mentioned above will snag him.

He plays a position where he'll play about 40% of his teams snaps, he's basically a 2-down run stuffer with not much pass rush upside, and he's a below average athlete. Not to mention that he isn't as athletic as some of the other lineman in the class and might have weight issues. Plus he dominated in college because he played at close to 355 and was probably bigger than all of the lineman he played against. He won't dominate like that at the next level.
