Peps play calling today was TERRIBLE

Those "deep shots" require far more time to develop downfield than that leaky O-line can give Luck. I'd rather see more short, quick stuff where Luck doesn't have to hold the ball so long. Those quick five- and ten-yarders won't make the highlights, but they will keep your QB out of the obituary column.

I'm so sick and tired of his automatic run on 1st down-He should pass more on 1st to set up the run. Is the play-action of the colts playbook? Sure seems that way.

I didn't think Pep was that old, but anyone who calls games like this must have lived through the Great Depression.  Time for both him and Harbaugh to head back to the amateur level.  Boy do I miss Bruce Arians.

Herron is the one who got stuffed on the first two carries. It was third and 14 because he couldn't get back to the line of scrimmage.

 

The draw was a white flag, clearly. Don't get Luck killed, try to gain some yards, and get the punter out there. People who complain about draws on third and long fail to understand the whole purpose of running the ball in a long yardage situation.

 

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that on the forums a person's knowledge of football is inversely proportionally to how loudly and often they self promote their own opinions on how they would do a much better job than the staff.

Pep is a good OC, but the offense needs to get better, or else the Colts will be one and done.

I didn't think the playcalling was that bad.  It became obvious that the Colts motives in this game were not completely focused on trying to get a victory.  A lot of our approach was was similar to the preseason, we were trying to get better at areas where we've had problems, such as running the football and playing run defense.  Things got out of hand faster than we expected so it kind of killed some of what we planned.   I think the game would have been different if we could have sustained more drives, and stop dropping the football.

Pep has been great all year, he didn't open up the playbook yesterday because the lack of protection from the right side of the line.

The screen passes were to protect the Oline that was on it's third Center, Guard and Right Tackle of the year.

 The same reason he was pulled from the game. Protecting his QB from throwing another Int.

Running behind the right side of our line is just dumb. The right side of our line has got to be the worst in the NFL. Just atrocious and Pep tried running behind them. Just really dumb. Its almost like pep didn't try to create an offensive scheme so he just ran any dumb random play he could think of.

And the amount of screens was nauseating at best.

Oh was that what he was doing. I couldn't tell all I seen was the defense getting  treated like paper going thru a shredder. Pep needs to go period. And when he goes he can Richardson with him. Tried of seeing both of them. One can't coach and the other can't run

I'm not one of those that bashes him constantly because for the most part he's done well.

But we start the game with three straight runs

And we ran like 100 screen passes today. It was the most vanilla/ predictable play calling I've seen in a long time.

 

I kinda got the impression that that was the point.
