Colts Vs. Jaguars Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi, Colts Nation!  :)  A battle this afternoon of first and last teams in the AFC South Division at Downtown Indianapolis, as our 6-4  leading Indianapolis Colts will try to rebound from their loss last Sunday Night from New England, as the Colts host the last place Jacksonville Jaguars, who are seeking their second wind of the 2014 regular season, after coming off their bye week.

Colts must win five of their six remaining games to equal their 11-5 regular season record the last two years, or even win all six games to better their record to 12-4, either scenario playoff qualified.

Colts must also win to avoid a possible tie in the AFC South, as the Bengals are playing the Texans in Houston at the same time this game is played at LOS.

NO further injuries, and GO COLTS!!!!!  :cheer:  :coltslogo:  :1colts:  :colts:  :helmet:  :blueshoe:  :coltslogo:  :cheer:  :D

The Colts must win this game.  The Jaguars do not have a good defense, Blake Bortles had a QB rating of 9 in their only win this season.  This past week they put their leading receiver, Allan Robinson, on IR.  Colts need to stay focused and avoid mistakes that could lead to one of those "any given Sunday" nightmares.

    • I'm just being silly  I posted one of Bryce earlier too..
    • I knew you wouldn't give us a glowing video on Levis, come on man!!!     I am sure every rookie QB will have a "what was that throw" moment this year including our AR. The bigger issue for Levis is cracking the Top 2, let alone becoming the starter. Tannehill may now wow a lot of folks but he is plenty accurate and isn't giving up his starter job easily.
    • I think an important thought here is that people were picking the Colts to be good based on three main assumptions: 1) We had a good OL and running game; 2) We had a capable, veteran QB who would benefit from the good OL and running game; and 3) We had a coaching staff that would maximize these anticipated strengths.   Those assumptions didn't hold true. A month into the season, it was obvious that the OL wasn't good, the running game wasn't effective, the QB couldn't perform, and the coaching staff wasn't in a good place. So I'd say that our presumed starting point from last season is totally irrelevant, because that starting point was basically a myth. It would be a mistake to assumed that our OL is good, our running game will return to 2021 status, our QB can perform, or our coaching staff is ready to maximize our strengths. In fact, we can't be sure what strengths we have, especially on offense.   On the other hand, if you want to project that the OL will be better, that the running game will benefit from JT being healthy and maybe from Richardson taking the snaps, and that the coaching staff will likely weaponize whatever options we have on the field, I won't object. That's my hope as well, but it's unrealized so far. My real objection is with using the preseason projections from last year as a basis for preseason projections this year.
    • LOL, someone thinks it is 16 games and in the same thread, another thinks it is 18 games.
