Some of ya all put way to much on the beatings we gave bad teams or teams(Jags, Titans) that did not have there #1 receiver or #2...Bengals....We still have a ways to go yet before we can put ourselves up there with the likes of the Patriots, Broncos. We ae an overall good team....But we are not there yet

We can hang with/beat Denver. We're a more balanced team than they are.

We can pass....Denver can pass.

We can't run....Denver can't run.

Our run defense sucks....Denver's run defense is great. (But neither team can actually run, so Denver's defensive advantage is moot.)

Our pass defense (including pass rush) is so-so. Denver's pass defense is terrible when their pass rush doesn't get there. They can't cover for crap.

Our special teams are great. Denver's special teams are the worst in the NFL from top to bottom.

The thing is, there just aren't many well-rounded teams. Especially in the AFC. New England is the only one.

I just want to save you guys some time and effort and sum up not only the last hour of this thread, but the next 24 hours as well:

"WHaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!"

I didn't say the Pats weren't better. I said they're dirty and take cheap shots.

And NE is a Gronk injury away from being incredibly beatable.

NE is not well rounded just lucky

Lucky yes. You don't win consistently for 12+ years without being pretty darn good, too. They're a complete team. The weakest link is their...well, what is New England bad at? They have a mediocre at worst run game. Even though it looked amazing against us, that's not saying much. Everything else about them is good or better.

Of course Brady will always get most of the credit even though nearly every team he's had has been well balanced. Such is life as a QB. The pass defense was shaky for a few years, but not nearly as bad as Patriot fans would have you believe. They gave up yards, but still generated a pants load of turnovers.

Calm down. Year 3 of a total rebuild. Still don't have all the pieces...Belichick has been the Pats GM and HC since Clinton was in office

Yeah, that's just an excuse

Andrew and Co. are about to get paid so those pieces are getting slimmer with the cold cash we're about to have to dish out.

Yeah it's going to be a "fire everyone" type atmosphere.

It's pretty simple, Colts just got man handled in the trenches by both their lines, out coached and beat by a superior team. When the Colts are playing a superior opponent, can't stop the ball or run the ball for 60 minutes this is what happens. I thought maybe they would come out a different team at the half but they came out flat.

No

They have their faults just like everyone else

Like what?

NE's run game is their weakness, and even then it's not much of a weakness. A weak run game would be something like ours or Denver's. NE's is servicable.

NE's QB gets rattled/thrown off his game when teams beat his O-line consistently. Most teams are either too stupid or lack the personnel to do so. (Or both.)  Given that most teams can't, or don't, he shreds them to pieces from behind his wall.

That's about it.

It is called something around here

That doesn't even make any sense.

We got our butts kicked on the ground all game and rolled over and died. We contained NE in the air for the first half, but we stopped getting to Brady in the second half and NE stepped on our throats both on the ground AND in the air all second half.

If we had just kept on Brady like the first half we would have had a chance. Didn't happen that way.
