A lot longer than that.

A lot longer than "MORE THAN" a decade?

I think I covered the span correctly.

Some of ya all put way to much on the beatings we gave bad teams or teams(Jags, Titans) that did not have there #1 receiver or #2...Bengals....We still have a ways to go yet before we can put ourselves up there with the likes of the Patriots, Broncos. We ae an overall good team....But we are not there yet

We can hang with/beat Denver. We're a more balanced team than they are.

We can pass....Denver can pass.

We can't run....Denver can't run.

Our run defense sucks....Denver's run defense is great. (But neither team can actually run, so Denver's defensive advantage is moot.)

Our pass defense (including pass rush) is so-so. Denver's pass defense is terrible when their pass rush doesn't get there. They can't cover for crap.

Our special teams are great. Denver's special teams are the worst in the NFL from top to bottom.

The thing is, there just aren't many well-rounded teams. Especially in the AFC. New England is the only one.

I just want to save you guys some time and effort and sum up not only the last hour of this thread, but the next 24 hours as well:

"WHaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!"

I didn't say the Pats weren't better. I said they're dirty and take cheap shots.

On a side note Both the D Line and O Line needs to go back to fundamentals in my opinion, Plus need to change Blocking schemes a bit

My expectations have gone down so far tonight. Lame

I'm more worried about Bradshaw and Allen then the outcome. We need those guys.

As well they should for anyone with some sense. Colts are no where near ready yet.

And NE is a Gronk injury away from being incredibly beatable.

Well it's not the playoffs so at least there is time to work on some things.

Al Michaels is TOTALLY off base in his comments about Wayne being a 2nd fiddle receiver. He was number one since about 2095, when he passed Harrison during Harrison's last 3 years.

Unfair comments from a guy NOT up on Colts history.

3rd Straight year having a 40 burger dropped on the :colts:

 It's just so pitiful man

Could be worse. My college team hasn't beaten their rival since 2004.

Lucky yes. You don't win consistently for 12+ years without being pretty darn good, too. They're a complete team. The weakest link is their...well, what is New England bad at? They have a mediocre at worst run game. Even though it looked amazing against us, that's not saying much. Everything else about them is good or better.

Of course Brady will always get most of the credit even though nearly every team he's had has been well balanced. Such is life as a QB. The pass defense was shaky for a few years, but not nearly as bad as Patriot fans would have you believe. They gave up yards, but still generated a pants load of turnovers.

Calm down. Year 3 of a total rebuild. Still don't have all the pieces...Belichick has been the Pats GM and HC since Clinton was in office

Yeah, that's just an excuse

Andrew and Co. are about to get paid so those pieces are getting slimmer with the cold cash we're about to have to dish out.

Yeah it's going to be a "fire everyone" type atmosphere.

It's pretty simple, Colts just got man handled in the trenches by both their lines, out coached and beat by a superior team. When the Colts are playing a superior opponent, can't stop the ball or run the ball for 60 minutes this is what happens. I thought maybe they would come out a different team at the half but they came out flat.

The Pats got 14 garbage points late

This is/was not a blowout

It's called finishing your opponent in butt kicking fashion and stomping them out.  I wish we did it, honestly.

No

They have their faults just like everyone else

Like what?

NE's run game is their weakness, and even then it's not much of a weakness. A weak run game would be something like ours or Denver's. NE's is servicable.

NE's QB gets rattled/thrown off his game when teams beat his O-line consistently. Most teams are either too stupid or lack the personnel to do so. (Or both.)  Given that most teams can't, or don't, he shreds them to pieces from behind his wall.

That's about it.

They are best team in the AFC. It's pretty clear. But we will see how the playoffs go.

As we know the best team doesn't always win.

That doesn't even make any sense.

We got our butts kicked on the ground all game and rolled over and died. We contained NE in the air for the first half, but we stopped getting to Brady in the second half and NE stepped on our throats both on the ground AND in the air all second half.

If we had just kept on Brady like the first half we would have had a chance. Didn't happen that way.

The only thing it does is given the inside track for the #1 seed

    • yeah, he doesn't have to worry about her wrecking him anymore.     Wrong.  His contract is paused the moment he retires.  Whether he comes back now, next year or in 2050, Colts own his right for the remaining time left on the contract , in this case 3 seasons.  There is no end date on that.  He has no way out unless the Colts release or trade him.  Which is why the Colts let him keep that 24 million. Doing so, ensured his rights are forever theirs.
    • In order to be part of the NFL Draft a player has to be 3 years from their high school graduation date. So if a kid graduated in 2018 he would be eligible for the 2021 draft regardless if there is a college football season or not. Trevor Lawrence has nothing to worry about. He probably has more to lose by playing this season than not. I've heard analysts say that he would have been the number one pick last year over Joe Burrow if he would have been eligible. As to the logistics of the 2021 NFL Draft, your guess is as good as anybody else's right now. With all sports in a state of flux I would say next year's draft isn't a high priority right now. I'm sure that if the major conferences go to spring football that players like Lawrence will opt out or the NFL Draft will move back to a later date. Just my  on the matter.
    • Here is my list of players who I would take over Luck at QB for the next 3 or 4 seasons after this year if I ignore the uncertainty of Lucks desire to play after his retirement.     1.  Pat Mahomes  2.  Russell Wilson    That’s it for me.  I’m not a Jackson believer.  Until we see a running QB continue as a running QB successfully, I won’t opt for that type of player.  IMO they are like Japanese pitchers.  It’s not racial.  Take those thoughts and deposit them where the sun don’t shine.  They are overused as kids and tend not to be able to stay on the mound just like Running QBs tend not to be able to play like that after a year or two. I can see people putting Jackson the list though.   Rogers, Brady, Brees are all too old to play until 2025 or 2026.  I would rate each of those guys above Luck if you were only talking the 2021 season and I’d slot them 2-5 in the order listed between Mahomes and Wilson.  That would still put Andrew at 7 IMO. Too many can’t miss QBs, miss so I would rather take Luck than Burrow or Lawrence, even though I could see them both being studs. QBs are like baseball draftees and A box of chocolates.  For the seasons 2021 to 2025, I’d slot them at 4 and 5 behind PH, RW, and AL.   I think it is a no brainer that you would take Luck back on this team.  If he decided to play again, it would be for competitive desire and/or money both of which are great incentives.   There is essentially no risk and the cost is already paid for and would be a net positive when JB and PR are off the payroll.   I understand the skepticism, but the dude is just too friggin good not to take a slight chance  on.     The only reason I can think of no to have him back is if JB and PR get injured this season and Eason turns out to be a stud that makes me forget AL.  That would be the only risk, losing out on Eason which doesn’t seem likely to be much of a risk.   Of course you let the guy fulfill his contract IMO.     These young guys aren’t like the faux love Of the game generations of the past.  I would assume most of the millennial players have no problem with Luck, and the team chemistry thing is largely irrelevant.    Players want a guy like Luck because he helps you win, but more importantly, he makes you money by making you look better than you are.w
    • Then why isn’t he putting a good spin on Eason?
    • Reich is a optimist. He always puts a good spin on things no matter what.
