There's rumors that he might slip to the tail-end of the first round. He has great hands and is extremely athletic. He's lethal with the ball in his hands. He's physical with DBs and can fight for the ball in the air.

 

The only real knock against him is that he's raw and it's evident in his route-running. He tends to rely purely on his athleticism. He also sometimes catches passes with his body.

 

I think his ceiling is extremely high and he'd be a great #2 and eventual replacement for Reggie.

The Rams will likely take Tavon Austin IMO. If the Steelers take Jarvis Jones than I think it's reasonable to assume that he'd fall to us. I guess it depends on if Minnessota takes a receiver with their 1st or 2nd pick.

 

I also don't think that DHB affects the draft at all.

Well, the talent is obviously there.

 

Could be a team drafting later in the first round leaking out rumors of "learning issues" and poor interviews in hopes he slips down to them. Or it could be true. Really no way for us to know for sure.

If for some reason he did fall that far, it would be a no brainer to grab him. He would most likely be BPA and would be able to refine his route running with Reggie.

he's a beast ... he said in "Game changers" that everytime the ball touches his hands he can score.. and it's true..

 

it will be nearly imposible for him to slip that far off tho..

Doubt he falls to 24.. But if so, I would not be against taking a WR

 

Do not believe the DHB signing impacts the draft... Just a 1-year prove it deal. So he could have a great year and ask more than we can pay. Plus 87 can't play forever.

Relies too much on athleticism which won't be as special on Sundays, his intelligence is also a big question mark which is going to be a big deal, Pep will have a large playbook.

I'd love to have him. Reggie can fix the issues regarding being raw. :-)

Raw doesn't equal project necessarily but he'll most likely sit behind Reggie and DHB. If developments what he needs, he sure can get it here watching, learning, and playing situational snaps.

Patterson is special with the ball in his hands. Haven't seen someone like him in a few years in that regard.

 

Horrendous when it comes to route running, and I hate the fact that he catches with his body, not with his hands. 

 

Gotta love that potential though...

Of all the WR's,  Patterson is the one that makes me the most nervous.

 

Yes, he has a very high ceiling.    But I also read/hear that he has the lowest floor of all the top WR's.    Frankly, players like that don't make me happy.    A real boom or bust type player is not what I want.

 

I hear he's not real mature...   young on the field,  young off the field.    With so many other top quality WR's,  I think I'd be more comfortable with one of the other five...

 

In no particular order...

 

Hopkins,  Hunter,  Allen,  Woods,  Patton.

 

And some of those guys will be available in the 2nd round....
